The hotel had some difficulties during our stay because it coincided with storm Eowyn and some facilities were not available but with good cause. The staff were fantastic and we were particularly impressed with the way all the catering staff worked together irrespective of status. Refurbishment is occurring and will be on-going but the impact was minimal however, the end result will put this venue in the top places to stay.

Beautiful Hotel. Right on the shoreline. Views of the Isle of Arran. We had afternoon tea in the Restaurant, which overlooked the sea. We had dinner in the lounge/bar. Food was of a high standard. Leisure facilities were really good with the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Room was very spacious and overlooked the sea. All very clean. Bathroom had a large walk in shower and a seperate bath. Fab stay and will definitely return.

Lovely staff in hotel and restaurant.Food was good,but spoiled with the waiting time from the kitchen.Our server Jack was excellent and apologised to us several times for the wait.Also Restaurant entrance was not manned,so a queue soon built up. We enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately wasted dinner for us

Staff friendly and helpful. Reception welcoming and bright. Lunch delicious. Pool swim lovely. Room with a lovely sea view. Perfect night stay.

It’s beautiful love the views. The restaurant doesn’t impress me so I ate dinner at hotel close by

We had the most amazing experience from our welcome when we arrived to checking out. We will be back, and for a longer stay next time. We didn’t want to leave.

Lovely hotel on the coast. Stayed here overnight with dinner in the hotel which was delicious. Used the pool and steam room, a tad crowded but enjoyable. Hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. Staff were excellent, we did have a small issue with noise from the room next door (a child with learning disability I think), we explained this to staff and asked if it would be possible to move to another room which they were able to facilitate without issue. Breakfast was lovely, good selection of cereal, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice and smoothies, plus a full Scottish breakfast.

Really enjoyed our visit, only thing would be if the changing area/ room at the pool was bigger, quite tight when it was busy.

Checked into my room to he told that I wouldn’t be staying in the room advertised, therefore no separate living room / sleeping area. I was then informed it was a problem with Expedia’s description of the room rather sizes and photographs rather than the hotels fault, who now couldn’t offer me what I believed I’d booked. This situation shouldn’t be put onto the customer, it’s for the hotel and Expedia to sort out, it’s false advertising. Plus I’ve literally stayed in this hotel this same calendar year, and it was in the family room using Expedia therefore the hotels story didn’t add up one bit. I slept on the pull out bed, the bed linen was absolutely filthy and stained. Not ideal. The majority of staff were excellent and accommodating. The main hotel and restaurants are lovely, as are the surroundings. I’d possibly return but this experience has been off putting.

Fabulous, friendly staff. Nicole in the Orangery was very courteous and attentive. Every member of staff was efficient and friendly. Room beautiful. Thought the TV could’ve had more channels very basic indeed for the price paid for B and B. Breakfast was good

Aura restaurant was cold and menu limited. Non. availabilty of menu items for a 7.30 pm sitting was poor.

The hotel staff were all very nice and the hotel is clean and well presented, however, the a la cart restraint is expensive and the view from our room was not even close too good, which was a bit of a let down for our stay.

Fantastic staff, fabulous hotel and we were really looked after during our family wedding. Rooms are very big, with all amenities you would expect. Condition of rooms and hallway, a little battered at the edges but you’d expect that from so many wedding parties over time. Really wonderful views over to Aran with a lovely beach to walk along. The wedding went fantastically well.

Lovely stay, dinner was fab and staff very friendly, beautiful christmas decorations.

Here for a wedding which was excellent. Large comfortable room with lovely sea view. The hotel also has a lovely bar.
