Style over substance.
I loved the look of Doña Graca online, and the idea of an apartment with the service of a hotel.
Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectation.
We had a VERY noisy stay where we didn't get a good night's sleep in 3 nights. There is absolutely no soundproofing, so you hear all street noise, other guests in their room or stairwell or neighbours and their house parties. There is also a light that comes on whenever anyone is in the corridor. With internal glass windows this means a light into your room or flat whenever anyone moves around in the corridor.
The breakfast was a strange service where you had to request anything you were missing by email, but the email wasn't ever picked up on time so you basically didn't get it. The produce you did get was of very bad quality. I should have eaten breakfast out at one of the nice cafes in the area, but given we'd paid for it it seemed a waste.
The bed was tiny, with a saggy uncomfortable mattress. Most hotels have a queen bed as standard..not here. My husband couldn't fit in the bed and on the last night had to check into another hotel.
The pool, we didn't use, but it is not as per the photos but a shallow, paddling pool.
We were told our children could share the "sofabed" which turned out to be a small, hard single sofa chair that they could not both fit on. This meant all through our first night each of them kept falling out of bed. When we asked if we could be refunded to go elsewhere, to somewhere where we all had a bed, we were told no as he would lose money, even though he had falsely sold a space that works for 4 when it would work for 3 at a push.
Just what bad value for money this place is was highlighted by my husband's move to the hotel palacio Visconde on our last night. There nothing was too much, the breakfast had fresh, good croissants, amazing coffee (and they offered decaf which doña Graca does not), fruit and the beds were big, comfy, with nice linen.
I do not recommend this place.
