A lovely stay with exceptional service. Rooms that are adjacent to late night venues with loud music include sound machines and ear plugs to help you get a restful sleep. Can always count on JW Marriott to pay attention to the details and take good care of me while traveling.

The property is in a great location. Walkable to several restaurants and shops. The staff was extremely disorganized and it was hard to get correct information. We had to ask 5 different staff about the breakfast included with the room rate and got 5 different answers. Beware, the hotel did not honor the free valet parking which was included in the room rate. The front desk claimed Expedia did not send them enough money to cover the valet cost and charged an additional $15 per day despite being shown the booking details which clearly stated free valet parking daily. There were no special terms on the free parking so this should have been honored at the hotel.

Stunning lobby and rooms. I stayed in the Atlantic building which was modern, funky with great views. I only have three stars overall because of hiccups during my stay as follows: Got a balcony room but the doors were not operating properly. Heating was not working had to call twice then finally asked for another room. Curtain sheers facing the riverfront were stuck, obstructing my view (had to call front desk again). Housekeeping service did not show up one day and when they did speedily cleaned the room without care for how their work appeared. Another time they sloppily made my bed. I finally pulled the sheets all the way off as a signal to properly make the beds. On the upside they made up glitches with bottle of champagne, chocolates, charcuterie board. Beware— there is a resort fee that they charge you and then they give you “vouchers” to use at their onsite restaurants. I also had a charge on my final bill for valet parking but I didn’t have a car while I was there. It’s attention to detail that matters… not just “the pretty”. They still have work to do but I would stay there again because the location is great. PS - Shout out to front desk staff. Alex and Mackenzie were empathetic and were good at problem solving. I appreciated them working to make things right. Also Concierge service was a nice treat- they give you one-way rides to your destination. Concierges Tanya, Tristen, and Eden are top notch.

We stayed here after our original reservation was cancelled due to overbooking. Even though it was not our original choice, it was certainly a unique and enjoyable experience. The hotel has 3 very different buildings to choose from. Be sure to do your homework! The main plant building has some rooms with access on a catwalk. Some rooms can be noisy if in proximity to the nightclub. We opted for Three Muses, a romantic vibe and generally quieter than the power plant. Lots of restaurant options on site. We loved dinner at Stone & Webster ($$$). Two rooms, one quieter than the other. Like most Savannah restaurants, make your reservation a day ahead if possible. This hotel complex offers a lot of amenities. The staff everywhere was friendly and wanting to help. The valet parking was $53/day but frankly was worth it. Visit the power plant even if you’re not staying there. It’s like a geological museum!

We decided to stop here and spend a night in our way down to Florida. So glad we did, we had a wonderful experience from check in to check out. The check in process was smooth and they even welcomed us with some Prosecco. The room was sparkling clean and the bed was so comfortable. Even the coffee from the room was good. We ate breakfast at restaurant in front of the lobby and totally recommend it. The food was delicious and we were a big group so we tried different things. Definitely loved this JW property and will recommend to family and friends.
