Visit the Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College, often called "Britain's Sistine Chapel." Originally designed by Sir Christopher Wren as a dining hall for the Royal Hospital for Seamen, it was then painted by Sir James Thornhill for over a period of 19 years. The hall's ceiling features 200 mythological, historical, and contemporary figures, telling stories of political change, cultural successes, and historical achievements.
