Built in the 18th century, Taman Sari Water Castle is a former royal garden consisting of several artificial lakes, man-made islands, and pavilions. One of the remaining structures is Umbul Pasiraman, also known as Umbul Binangun or Umbul Winangun, a bathing pool for the sultan along with his family and concubines. Another interesting spot is the Gumuling Well, a mosque that can be reached through an underground tunnel.
