As a vibrant town in both Hulu Langat and Sepang District, Selangor, Malaysia, Kajang is brimful with cultural tourism, such as historical landmarks and lively food scene. The buildings in Kajang’s city center, including the streets of Mendaling, Stadium, Sulaiman, and Raja Haroun are historical architectures with the combo of Chinese and European designs. Kajang Jamek Mosque with its recognizable bright yellow facade is also a prominent feature of the town’s cultural identity. Then, after exploring its past stories, most travelers prefer allotting time to relish satay, skewered barbecue meats, since Kajang is informally known as the Satay Town.
However, the town’s diversity doesn’t stop there, Kajang also has multiple shopping complexes, such as Billion Shopping Center, Plaza Metro Kajang, Metro Point, Kompleks Kota Kajang, and Metro Avenue–this is the newest shopping district in Kajang. This is why we don’t lie when we say that Kajang is a bustling town which can attract both domestic and international tourists.
The result of a destination with various attractions is the availability of comprehensive public transports, one of them is MRT. Previously known as MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line, MRT Kajang Line is a Mass Rapid Transit line serving Klang Valley, Malaysia. It’s the second fully automated and driverless rail system after LRT Kelana Jaya Line, owned by MRT Corp and operated by Rapid Rail. Not only does it enhance connectivity within Kuala Lumpur’s major residential areas, commercial districts, educational institutions, and key transport hubs, MRT Kajang Line also gives accessibility to employment centers for workers/business travelers; as well as recreational facilities for leisure tourists.
Reaching out the greater Kuala Lumpur metropolitan areas by MRT Kajang Line also makes you promote and support environmental preservation because sustainable transport practices can help reduce carbon emissions. Therefore, by encouraging people to use public transports more than private vehicles, you help alleviate air pollution caused by excessive car usage, so why hesitate–visit Kajang by MRT and see how many attractions you can access via this modern train system!
