When you open your MySejahtera app, it will show your personal information:
This is to ensure that you are a legitimate user of this app.
This information will link to contact tracing if you have been contacted by someone infected by COVID-19. It also shows your COVID-19 risk status.
Hence, it will be easier to track someone with a high risk of entering any premises and reduce the risk of others getting infected by COVID-19.
COVID-19 vaccinated status is one of the features displayed on the front menu and your personal information and risk status.
Hence, it will be easier to track users who are vaccinated and unvaccinated. It also features a digital certificate that shows your vaccination history.
The Check-in feature is crucial in the MySejahtera app. It is a scan area where the user needs to place the QR Code inside the scan area.
All premises, including malls, restaurants, and even night markets, have a QR Code at the entrance.
Users must scan the code using these check-in features before entering those premises.
Once the scan is complete, it will show your risk status and whether you are eligible to enter those premises or not.
Users can assess their risk of contracting COVID-19. The app asks citizens to fill in a basic survey on symptoms, travel history, and whether they've recently been in contact with a confirmed case.
It then classifies them into risk categories and informs them of the next steps.
If you just received your vaccination jab, you can make your self-assessment in a survey. If you are not feeling well due to the vaccination effect, fill in the survey, and they will assist you.
Note:
Those under surveillance would have to stay at home for 14 days and complete the survey every day. The app will ping a notification daily to remind the users to fill in the survey.
If they ignore the notifications for too long, they might get a ring from the local health authority.
The survey asks for the patient's name and phone number to prevent people who would lie about coming into contact with a confirmed case. That will be verified with the system database of confirmed cases.
MySejahtera’s users can chat with an online doctor through the app. They can get a teleconsultation without having to leave the house. This reduces the risk of transmission and eases hospitals' demand for healthcare services.
In addition, users can also book doctor’s appointments online, including for non-COVID-related matters.
Hotspot trackers help users detect where confirmed patients likely contracted the disease. It allows the users to plan their travels better.
They might choose to avoid going to a hotspot or ensure they bring along a bottle of hand sanitiser.
Users can get the latest information about COVID-related health via the MySejahtera app.
There are many tips shared in this app that users can apply to be more healthy. Plus, any news related to COVID-19 is also shared in this app to keep the users updated with the latest news.
The help desk feature in the MySejahtera app will assist you when you have any questions while navigating the app.
It has a set of frequently asked questions along with the solutions. It offers options for both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Hence, it will prevent any miscommunication later.
