No matter the reason, cancelling a hotel booking and sorting out a refund doesn’t have to be a hassle (even if the words non-refundable are staring back at you).

How to Cancel and Get a Refund for My Hotel Booking

If you need to cancel your hotel booking and request a refund, don’t worry, it’s a straightforward process, especially when done through the Traveloka app or website. Just follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your Traveloka account.

2. Head to My Booking.

Choose the booking you'd like to cancel. Scroll down to the Manage Booking section and tap Refund. Carefully read the refund policy for your booking, then tap Refund to start your request. You’ll be asked to enter your password to continue.

3. Review the Refund Terms & Conditions.

Tick the box to agree, then tap Next. Select the room or unit you’d like to refund and tap Next again. Tick the final agreement box and tap Submit Refund.

What if I don’t have a Traveloka account?

No problem, you can still access your booking by tapping My Booking on the Traveloka app or selecting Retrieve Booking on the desktop website.

If your booking was made under the “Pay at Hotel” option, please refer to the dedicated article for specific cancellation steps.

A few important things to note:

Cancellation may come with a fee, depending on the hotel’s policy. Be sure to check the details on your hotel voucher before submitting your request.
Refunds are only processed after approval from the hotel.
Processing time may vary by country: up to 14 working days in Indonesia, and up to 30 working days in other countries.

How to Check My Refund Status

To check the status of your hotel (or flight) refund via the Traveloka App, follow these simple steps:

Go to My Account.

Tap My Refund to view all bookings you’ve requested a refund for, along with their current status.

Tap on a specific booking to see more details about your refund process.

You can also find this under the My Booking section if you prefer to browse your booking history first.

Flight refunds depend on your airline’s refund policy, your reason for cancellation, and how close it is to your departure date. To view specific airline policies, head to Traveloka's Refund Centre, click Airline Policy, then select your airline.
Once your refund is approved by the airline or hotel, Traveloka will notify you via email. The refund will be processed back to the original payment method you used for the booking, so keep an eye on that account.

Refund Hotel Booking for Non-Refundable Policy

This button appears at the top of your hotel voucher starting one day before your check-in date.
