Not bad for cheap accommodation, close to the cbd and shops. The attendant was very helpful and the cleaners are nice and helpful. However I feel bad for them as some of the guests were terribly noisy late at night.

This property should be condemned. I felt unsafe walking on the patio because the boards bent and threatened to break as I stepped on them. The patio railing was held in place by a shelf bracket and the boards had broken as someone stepped on them. The power board to the rusty fridge and kettle just lay on the floor. What I saw on the web page was nowhere near what we were given. The room was exceptionally small and pokey. The shower had rust and mildew in it. The building itself was horrible with old mattresses lent on walls for who knows what. There was about 12 parks for the 50 odd residents and the drive so narrow it took a long time to maneuver to get out. We will NEVER go back and nor should anyone else. It should be condemned because it is unhealthy and unsafe. They should refund our money

Room not aired, no teaspoon to stir coffee, television only had a few channels, not even the local channels, very very basic room, community type kitchen filthy.

The Cliff House was truely terrible. Health services should take a proper look at this place, it was disgustingly covered in mould, bugs, dirt, and other unhygienic conditions. Wasn’t even worth a cheaper price, within hours of getting there I asked for a refund and to move somewhere else. The lobby was dirty, each door had dirt all over them and the hallways and stairs looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in years. As I stepped into my room, the first thing I noticed was gross walls and mould covering the bathroom, it looked like it hadn’t been even wiped over from last guest or vacuumed. Second thing I noticed, was a TOE NAIL on my bedside table, unwashed marks on bedsheets, tobacco crumbs in drawers, and unwashed utensils. I stayed one night, it seemed unsafe and doors were wide open for anyone on the street to walk in. The neighbours were loud but I did hear someone else asking for a refund, definitely was a drug house. There were scratches on the floors(?) and just bugs everywhere. I’m a 19 year old solo traveler trying to find places for cheap, but would absolutely NOT recommend even if you’re looking for backpacking accommodation. Saw the “cleaners” as I was leaving, just one guy with his pants down to his ass. Just go to an AirBnb instead.

Bed was like a concrete slab,noisy, parking limited and cramped, got what I paid for

It was ok but waking up to a wet floor in the bedroom and the shower leaking water on the floor also the lock on the door was difficult to use

Very accomadating staff...rooms need a proper clean but they do have air con, the beds are comfy and its well price with each room having own onsuite. Clise to the cultural hub and walking dustance to some amazing view

Car park very tight and limited, old furniture (mattresses) stacked around property.

Minimal parking available, had to park on street distance from property. Room was full of tiny flies. Openi g door to room was hit with chlorine smell. Baby cockroaches in morning Air con work good for a muggy night. B

First impression was not good at all and just got worse. The dirty dark narrow run down winding hallway through the place was nothing I have experienced before, was very creepy. On looking at the room my mind was made up. I ended up forfeiting my money and went and stayed elsewhere. Don’t let the Photos online fool you as it did me. Everything was dirty messy and completely rundown. The area out the back where you park your car left you wondering if you were ever going to see your car and belongings again.

Never will I stay there again. Very limited parking filthy kitchen. Musty selling room has long term tenants and is not secure back of my ute broken into. Lucky nothing was taken

The room was too small..the bathroom basin was damaged. Overall it was just acceptable but that particular room needs to be remodelled, repainted, and repaired.

I did like the man at reception that called a cab for me. I didn't enjoy the dirty room, water damaged bathroom, dishwashing brush as a toilet brush, a peice of wire as the toilet paper holder, the tap on the basin that moved, the dirty shower and screen, mould, bathroom door rotting, coffee on the kitchenette, unknown liquid in the fridge, window screens damaged and dirty floor. Not to mention the uncovered electrical points and stains on walls. However, I didn't die, and was always welcomed at the entrance, (that smelt like wet carpet), by an elderly man without a shirt who would smile and say, "welcome to paradise ".
