Loved the old nostalgic charm of the place! Proprietors have upgraded the bathrooms.
Breakfast was delicious and was served on white tablecloths with cloth napkins. We had a very delightful, attentive server who was the owner, Jodi. Loved her!
This place, however, is not for perfectionistic, fussy people as it is an old lodge built in the late 1920’s. If you want 2020, go to a box hotel.
This lodge is a blend of nostalgia and modern facilities. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They stored our inflatable kayaks inside for our us, and gave us access to an enclosed fire pit.
I loved that we got away from the city and were steps away from a sandy beach, golf course and nature trails. We were in the unique position of being the only people staying at the lodge at the time, so the television room with a mini fridge and Keurig (coffee and an array of tea and hot chocolate) and shared washrooms were only being used by our family.
With Covid restrictions, food and drink had to be consumed outside or in our own rooms, but good weather and a covered veranda made this no hardship.
This was a perfect break for a family of essential workers who needed a peaceful and fun holiday.
Nice little room, with a private bath, the bathroom was newly renovated and had a great big shower with plenty of hot water. The bed and pillows were very comfy - just wish they had rooms with Queen size or King size beds LOL! It was super quiet and with the windows open and the fan that was provided we didn't miss the air conditioner at all.
