Hotel facility itself was a bit outdated but the classic atmosphere was great during holiday season. Pretty close walking distance to the public hotspring and close to Gondola.
A bit far away from downtown area was a downside but worth to stay to enjoy the mountain view

We have been going there for 40 years. Have always loved the main area with outstanding fireplace and overall ambiance and view. This time the music was not background/calm but loud and hip hop/rap. Because of the loudness patrons obviously had to talk louder and it made conversation difficult. We have made the decision to go to a different hotel next time.

Overall this pl e was pretty good. For the money and cost of food, the room and food could have been a lot better in my opinion. I won’t tell people not to go there but we wouldn’t go again.

This hotel is really only for families. The staff and concierge ignore you if you are not a part of a family with children. When we checked in they gave us no information about the hotel. The next day I saw people checking in and the staff was going over where the pool was, restaurants, the services they provide. They offered them cookies, a map, etc. We were in banff to celebrate our engagement and NYE and emailed the concierge multiple times to try to set up something to celebrate our engagement and they never replied. The spa area was filled with dozens of children at all times of the day. They had adult hours from 10-11pm but there was still multiple children and no staff to tell them it was adult only. Great place for families horrible place for couples.

A very nice hotel which is showing its age in places. Overall a very enjoyable place to stay but at $1100 a night I think there’s better value elsewhere.

This hotel stay was disappointing! It’s way over priced for the condition of this hotel. Our room overlooked a generator room n floor 9. The room is extremely dated with brown carpet, poor decorating and lighting.
The main areas were nice but I wouldn’t call this luxury hotel! The only positive is the location and view from the main areas.
There was poor communication in regards to shuttles to downtown. They cancelled the shuttles because n the afternoon leaving our family running to catch public transit up the street or we would have missed our dinner reservations in town. The ownership needs to invest money into this hotel as it needs help everywhere! There are better hotels in Banff that are much less money! I would not recommend this hotel and we travel allot and stay in many luxury hotels. Sorry Rimrock we won’t be back!
