EPIC Apartments Duke Street

Room was nice and clean, but there was a pile of linen on the floor outside the room all day (until the next day we checked out). We could hear people walking above us. It has been a week but deposit still not returned, I asked and the reply was it takes 3-10 working days, so hopefully it will arrive within two weeks.

The sofa bed mattress was all stains when i pulled it out and there was a ball of hair lying on the floor and a smell when we entered the room

No fuss check in and check out. Friendly and helpful staff just a phone call away for any queries. Ideally situated with a Liverpool 1 shopping area just and main bus terminus just a 2 minute walk away and 5 minutes walk to train station.

Fantastic apartment, a short walk from everything we needed see in Liverpool. Great little kitchen with a dishwasher (not that we needed to use it. Great location with plenty of good restaurants. Great communication from the agents who rectified a slight issue within an hour. Will definitely recommend and will stay here again next time I'm in Liverpool.

Liked the space, the kitchen, the price, the location. Didn't realise there was no lift. My fault for not checking so there were a few flights of stairs. The whole stairwell reeked of cigarette smoke. The sofabed was the least comfortable bed I have ever lay on. 3 sets of guests woke us up drunk in the night. One set opposite were screaming like crazy people and laughing like witches at 3am. Thankfully a message to reception and they came up to sort the problem immediately. Some cutlery was missing, some was dirty and only 1 tumbler between 4. There were food and liquid residue drips dried down all the cupboards and wall in the kitchen which I cleaned up. No washing up liquid available so had to use shower gel. The pans are a bit small really to cook for a family of 4 but just glad to have the saucepan and frying pan. 11 am checkout fine but as i retrieved the car the cleaner knocked on the door at 11:05 and with no "good morning" rudely demanded of my wife and children "time to leave now". Most likely wouldn't stay here again.

The location was excellent and the process to get access was quick and simple. However, the room was dark, cold (and stayed cold even with heater), the shower was blocked so water built up in the tray, there was a missing bedside table, no spoons with tea facilities. Seemed to lack care!

Our room (28) was tidy, but was riddled with mould. The bathroom was extermely bad, everytime we went in the smell hit us. It was so overpowering that the cleaner had open all 3 windows in the apartment making the room freezing. The waterfall shower head was also riddled with limescale. We didnt have the time to make a complaint at the time as we had to head to the theatre. We certainly wont stay there again!

Great apartment spotlessly clean, comfy double bed, lovely little kitchen with everything you need great little extra of coffee tea sugar and little sachets of milk in the fridge will definitely stay again

Badly soundproofed single glazed windows onto a party street. First room I was given had not been cleaned but that was quickly sorted.

Upon arriving we noticed that basic necessities were not provided. Bath plug was only provided when we complained, flat has had broken furniture and holes in walls. When asking for amenities to be provided we had to chase. Very loud location as next to many nightclubs. Building was unsafe as random people who were not guests of the hotel had access to the building and would just chill in the lobby. Housekeeping is every 4 days so not ideal if you are staying for longer and plan to cook. Housekeeper came to our door but as we were leaving the flat in under 30 mins we asked for her to attend once we leave. We were then informed when asking for housekeeping it is every 4 days. The cleaner should have mentioned it’s either “now or tomorrow”! Very poor service and appalling state of the flat, definitely needs refreshing and basic stuff like dish soap and dishwasher tablets should be already provided if you have the dishwasher for us to use but nothing to actually use to clean. Stayed in many aparthotels and this is by far the worst experience we’ve had. Would not recommend.

Never had a bad stay in an epic apartment aways plenty of towels and the beds very comfy

I stayed here recently and couldn’t believe the price for the apartment. Therefore, as a regular visitor to Liverpool, I decided to book again. Based on the price I paid I cannot have any complaints, however if I was paying a lot more or what I suspect is anything “peak” I’d expect the following to be looked at: 1. I was given a different room to the one at the time of booking. As I’ve now stayed in a few and seen the price differences I would expect more from (18) if it’s the same price as (22). 2. I received a text to say I’d been given the wrong room, however this included the code so I hope this was changed for the people in that room. Something to consider security wise. 3. Only one large towel was provided for 2 people, no big deal and I appreciate it’s an easy mistake. 4. WiFi was patchy to say the least, which I know isn’t a problem in the other rooms at the front. Something to look into. 5. There’s a very unpleasant stain on the sofa that could do with looking at. I will be staying here again as the value is unbelievable, however, as you give apartment numbers on the booking page I would expect that to be the one I stay in, although I appreciate damages/repairs may sometimes affect this. All in all when I book last minute on quiet days of the week this will always be my go to and I’ll continue to recommend it.

There was food left in the microwave, the pull out sofa bed was uncomfortable and the location very noisy (next to night clubs).

This place has the potential to be SO good. Yes, I slept well ; shower was ok and location spot on. However , the room is showing significant signs of wear and tear , very dated design and in need of a total paint job. Door at bathroom also needs replacement from water damage to panel. Room generally clean , but could also do with a more intense clean. For example , found a big hair band behind one of the moveable chairs. Black out curtains really not up to the job. Far too long for the window and gaps in the design the leaves the early morning sun enter the room. I would have liked to see the standard of the other rooms ; it may have been that this one is just well used. Come on , get that room redecorated and show the true potential of your product which could be right up there.

Very reasonably priced, central location, high spec property, little bit worn in places but to be expected.
