Lovely surroundings, impeccable service and scrumptious food including an excellent breakfast

I expected much more for the money paid. The room was very cold on entry, with the only heating provided by an ugly and initially noisy portable oil radiator. Although the pictures look great, the fact is that the buildings are very poorly constructed, with no soundproofing in the Lodges. When people walk anywhere, the room rattles and shakes, and I was woken repeatedly during the night with bangs and crashes, plus, at one point after midnight, dogs barking. A quiet, peaceful retreat, this is not. The 'woodland view' consisted of a depth of three trees before the road about 20 yards away. The rooms have no entertainment system whatever, no telly or radio, probably because the walls are so thin. On the plus side, the bed is comfy, everybody seemed very friendly, and the service was good. It is in a beautiful spot if you overlook the golf course rather than the road. Breakfast service was very good but didn't start until 8.30am.

Lodges were lovely and warm. Bed super comfy. Restaurant was excellent.

It was very quiet, peaceful and the staff were amazing. We had a leak in the room but were sorted by the time we returned. One thing I would say was we had a forest room and it’s not very private as the walkway is very close to the windows

Modern, spacious, quiet, well appointed room with beautiful view over a golf course and hills. Perfect relaxing getaway. And because it had no involvement with Ryanair, our stay was enjoyable and seamless!

Lovely place. Food excellent for breakfast and dinner in clubhouse. We stayed in a room with patio and you looked out onto golf course My only gripe was that there wasn’t a tv. Not that we’d come away to watch tv but would have been nice

Really enjoyed the one night stay. The staff were super friendly, the facilities clean and eco friendly. The only thing was the room got quite warm and because there is no AC, and you cannot open the window at night (otherwise the bugs get in), it was a little warm to sleep. The food at the restaurant was amazing - great quality and taste, all served by attentive and informative staff. Highly recommend the hotel and restaurant.

We stayed here for 1 night and it was absolute phenomenal!! The room itself was very modern and cosy, with the tree views outside it felt very private and intimate. There were great amenities (thank god for the fan in the wardrobe!) and felt very luxurious. The food is where this place peaks though. Was disappointed at first that there was only two vegetarian dinner options, but the taste and presentations of the potato chard teggine swiftly made up for that!! In fact, i never would have chosen that if there was other options so maybe it was a blessing in disguise? Breakfast was also a hit, the continental options looked fabulous and our cooked breakfasts were yummy. The ladies at the front desk were so warm, welcoming and funny!! They really really made our stay that extra bit better ❤️ So knowledgeable about the area and just kind souls. Will hopefully be back in the future !!!
