The actual room was really clean and comfy and about exactly what you would expect. The only real downside was that the way they handle reception can be quite confusing and I assume it is especially for non natives.

So cozy! More authentic than staying at a big resort. You walk down the street to the market to have breakfast or if you need any help. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Saw the northern lights right behind the log house on our last night :)

Easy checkin, extra instructions were provided in an email. We picked up the keys at the post office and went next door to the booking agent who gave us more info about the area. Everyone was very helpful. The lodge was perfect. Clean with very nice sauna. I loved the log design. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was off site, but that’s ok.

It is very cozy and the room has all the basic amenities required with comfy bed. They provide good breakfast but may need to walk or drive a short distance from the log house. Recommended to stay to try out local log built house in Finland.

The log cabin is a wonderful place to stay in Saariselka in the snow and it is very well situated conveniently for other amenities and excursions. The only issue i had with the room was that it was on the small side, there were no where for us to put our suitcases, which made things a little awkward. but apart from that we loved our stay.

Location is quite good. Near the bus stop. Overall is good experience to stay there. And it has sanna. Just the hotel reception is a bit far away. It is located in the supermarket restaurant there

This was a dreamy stay. The log cabin was much more than we had hoped for. The location is easy, convenient and equally beautiful. The rooms are nice and warm so it feels amazing to see snow through your window while you are in the comfort of your log cabin house. The sauna is simply great - there are fixed slots for every room (sometimes your slot can be in afternoon while you are outside so you may miss it but there is a common shared sauna in late evening). The location is great - all restaurants and safaris are within a 5-10 min walk from the house. The check-in process is not smooth though - you first need to walk up to shopping center to collect the keys and then go to the room. The breakfast spread is not too great either but for the location, you can do with it. Overall a very authentic Finish experience in the heart of Saariselka. The ski bus goes from right outside the house.

Great location right in the middle of Saariselka. The rooms were lovely and warm on arrival with heated flooring in the bathroom which was great after being out in the cold all day. Kettle, fridge and hairdryer which was great to have. The sauna was really nice with a fab little window view of the snow outside.

The log cabin style is nice and cozy. Beds are clean and comfortable. The hotel is decentralized so you have to collect your keys from one of the local businesses (post office or cafe, depending on time of day). Our water kettle was broken, so I notified the staff at the post office and it was replaced on the same day. Still, it's kind of a weird system, and if we had an issue at night after working hours, I'm not sure it would have been resolved as quickly. You're kind of on your own. The breakfast is very mediocre. If you have the option, don’t pay for it, and just buy the food yourself and make it in your room. The kitchenette is very sparse (fridge, hot water boiler, and plastic spoons). If you’re not European, you may be shocked by the size of the shower, but at least the water is hot! There is some cheap shampoo and soap but nothing special. For me, one of the best parts was the location (close to XC ski trails, airport bus, restaurants, and rental stores). We never needed to take the ski bus because you’re so close to everything. The Urho Kekkonen National Park is very close by, and if you are feeling adventurous, you can go on a walk at night to the Aurora cabin (only about 20 minutes, but bring headlamps if it is dark). We were able to see the northern lights from the Aurora cabin on our first night for free - very magical! The other highlight was having a reserved 30min turn in the sauna, which was hot, spacious, and so vital after a long day outside!

Log cabins were lovely and clean, very warm and cosy and central to restaurants and shops! The only criticism I have is how the reception area is run over the weekend by having to go to the cafe to collect / return keys as it is a bit confusing but other than this we had an amazing stay and will definitely be returning!!

Once in a lifetime winter holiday experience with Lapland's amazing northern lights and reindeer safari as well as good cross-country skiing and downhill skiing. Put this on your bucket list!

Non ci è piaciuta la Reception

Hyper propre et literie très confortable, déco fustes. A savoir que chaque chambre a un créneaux horaire pour le sauna. Ce créneau vous est communiqué au moment de la récupération des clés et l'accès commence après 15h. La seule chose à savoir et qui est ESSENTIELLE, est que le GPS vous envoie à l'endroit où vs allez loger et non pas a l'endroit où vous récupérez les clés ! . Notez bien que la remise des clés se fait à l'entrée d'un super market ( qui fait office de réception) ....elle se trouve dans le petit centre commercial à 150m plus bas (super marché) ! Hé oui pas très commun d'aller récupérer ses clefs à la cafétéria de la mini-galerie !

Ohjeet avainten nostamiseen oli aivan eri mitä ohjeessa, kuitenki avaimet saatiin ja yöpymään päästiin. Siisti ja simppeli.

Kaunis huone ja hyvät sängyt sekä liinavaatteet. Huoneen piti olla 19 neliötä, mutta sitä on hyvin vaikea uskoa. Mahdollisesti 19 neliötä piti sisällään myös wc:n ja eteisen, jolloin huone jäi kyllä pieneksi!

Olimme liikkeellä sesongin ulkopuolella. Alueelta ei löytynyt yhtään avoinna olevaa ravintolaa klo 19 aikaan. Tästä olisimme halunneet tietoa, esim. sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä (silloin vielä olisi hotellin oma ravintola ollut hetken auki). Hotellin sähkögrillikään ei toiminut. Huone oli siisti ja puhdas, mutta todella pieni. Tavaroita oli hankala saada mahtumaan. Tv:stä toimi vain ylen kanavat joten kuten, kun olisimme halunneet elokuvaa katsoa mikropitsaillallisen aikana :D Suihkuun ei olisi isompi ihminen mahtunut, koska kääntyvät suihkuseinät oli huonosti sijoiteltu. Iso plussa pimennysverhoista!
