Even though the staff were extremely friendly, the fact is I got extreme food poisoning from their pork meat when they served me a platter of meat and cheese which resulted in me having to abandon the GR54 and spend the night in Gap Hospital, and subsequently cause me more expense to get home early for further tests. The food poisoning definitely came from their establishment as I ate nowhere else for the 2 days I was in Chapelle.
I will be reporting this establishment to the French Ministry of Health’s Adverse event department.

Me and my brother stayed here for 2 nights half pension during our GR54 hike to rest up a bit. These are some of the nicest hotel owners and staff I've ever met. You're being treated as a friend as soon as you enter the hotel. The owners added a few personal touches, created a cosy atmosphere and were happy to chat with us (in French and English). The local dishes were also very tasty. Highly recommended place!

Visited this hotel during a part of GR45 hike. Food and drinks are wonderful, and service felt really personal. We will stop here again the next time we will be un the area.

We visited the restaurant. Nice place! Cool and friendly waiters. The food was soooo good. With the paucity of restaurants in La Chapelle-en-Valgaudémar, the village may be proud of this hidden gem.
