Solid option

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was comfortable with excellent storage - wardrobe/drawers. Dressing gowns and slippers were a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, but unfortunately the pillows were very lumpy. Most members of staff were very helpful and friendly, although a small number seemed quite grumpy and preoccupied. Breakfast was excellent, a very choice of good quality products. A superb selection of teas and coffee were available free of charge throughout the day. We parked our hire care at the Rotteckgarage which was a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has an agreement that allows guests to use the car park at a subsidised rate. The maximum payable is reduced to €18 per day instead of the standard €30. The hotel was in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk to the railway station. The town centre and network of trams was also close by.

Hotel decor modern and not always functional. Modern lighting took up bedroom useable space. Bed music - what was the point and mine didn't work anyway. The bar availability was misleading. Disappointed about opening times. Check the websites carefully!

It was very loud and noisy in front of the building, until after midnight. I had to close both windows (we had a room at the corner of the building), it then was a little bit better. But still not noise cancelling.

Bums and homeless people outside this hotel, especially in the evening. Very off putting and I never did see anyone from the hotel go out and get them moving, nor the police. However, the location to the train station and to the Old Town was great.

My husband and I stayed here for only 2 nights, but would have stayed longer! The hotel was very nice, clean, and conveniently located to the town and train station. The staff was so welcoming and friendly! We loved it here and would absolutely come back!

The room was 1/4 the size what was advertised and didnt have a bathtub as advertised which was the reason i booked the room. The room was so small i couldnt even open my suitcase without putting it on my bed (which is gross). The shower was missing tiles and the shower door didnt go to the gound so it flooded the entire bathroom and room entrance. The bahtroom was so small i had to step inside then close the door and then step behind it to reach the toilet. The window looked directly into someones office and had no privacy. There were no face clothes, no usb chargers for international visitors, and no clock. The water they left in my room was covered in a thick layer of green and grey mold it was disgusting. At breakfast there were only empty tables covered in dirty dishes and no where to eat, they were also out of both sausage and bacon. The entire experience was that of a budget motel and i was not impressed.

Good location wedged between the station and old town. Spacious rooms and having all-day tea/coffee station was useful.

Staff were exceptional! The helped whenever it was requested. They were so kind. We highly recommend the hotel. Thank you.

Room was modern and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Great location, close to main attractions, the old town, shops, and parking garages.

Friendly staff, location and clean.

The best hotel we stayed at this time around. Centrally located, friendly staff, 24/7 coffee and tea in the lounge opposite the reception desk. Room darkening shade and A/C made for a great sleep with no hint of noise from the street. Will definitely stay here again if my travels bring me back to Freiburg.

Parking is limited and difficult in and out. I had to park my car off site in a public parking garage.

Value for money hotel. Gave a feeling of luxury even though it was cheaper. Amazing staff. And so resourceful. And helpful. Very well located and has parking as well. Highly recommend it

Nice place, close to railway station, yet also not far from the old town. Great breakfast.

Obwohl ich gehofft hatte, dass ein comfort + Zimmer etwas geräumiger sei, war ich mit der Lage, dem Zimmer, dem freundlichen undunkomplizierten Service und dem exzellenten Frühstück sehr zufrieden.

Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The bathroom was still dirty from the last occupant. The temperature was very hot in the room, and the thermostat was broken.

The property was very nice, everything was updated and clean! The staff was very attentive to any questions or concerns. The only negatives were the 25 euro price for breakfast and the size of the rooms. The first night we were there we had a comfort plus room which was fine, we traveled a few days then came back and got a regular room. We barely had room to walk past the luggage and only one person at a time in the bathroom. Definately ask for comfort plus!
