Granbell Hotel Susukino

Worth the price. With its facilities and amenities it was an absolute delight for everyone.

I had the most wonderful and comfortable ten days in this hotel. The lobby had a big movie screen showing old Hollywood black and white movies. I loved every moment.

Booked the twin bed hotel rooms. The rooms are quite small (as expected for a city hotel) but they are very clean with a practical layout. They provided two kinds of pillows, buckwheat and down, as well as nightwear. The rooms were cheaper if you opt for no housekeeping during the stay, but they delivered fresh towels, daily. Having an onsen is a real bonus. As the room is small, there’s no space to layout your suitcase so I would recommend minimal shopping and hand carry luggage sizes only. With a 5-10 min walk, the dining options were fantastic. The major shopping street is about 15 min walk away. The Toho subway exit is at the hotel front door. Excellent location. Would definitely book here again.

Clean room, good location. front desk staff can't understand English and also not willing to understand. Not a pleasant experience. He also shows impatient.

Staff was polite and helpful but short handed at time. Could have done better with tables cleaning after breakfast.

Size of room is good for Japanese standard. Onsen in the hotel is the highlight. Walking distance to restaurants and ramen street.

Convenient location

This is a very nice, clean, classy hotel in a great central location in the lively Susukino district of Sapporo. My only “complaint” really had to do with the size of our room. It was extremely tiny without a closet or any drawers for storage. The distance between the bed and the wall was only about a foot (30 cm), while the distance between the foot of the bed and that wall was not more than 2 feet (60 cm). The opposite (window) side of the bed had more space but shared it with a small round table, a chair and a stool. We stayed for 10 days and so not having a place to unpack our clothes or store our suitcases was a challenge. We were able to squeeze our suitcases under the bed but it was extremely awkward and inconvenient to retrieve our clothing. When the suitcases were on the floor we literally had to crawl over the bed or step inside our medium-sized suitcases to get to the other side of the room. For this reason I would only recommend this hotel for a short stay (2-3 days) if you are traveling with just a small suitcase or tote. Another issue (for women) is the bathroom lighting. It was quite dim and unsuitable for applying makeup. I had to sit on the stool next to the window to use natural light to see well enough to apply my makeup. I’m so glad I thought to bring my own mirror.

Check in machines didnt work so staff had to manualy check us in. Good location in heart of susukino & subway 10m from front door

Most things were great - rooms are clean but a little cosy. That's what you expect from most hotels in Japan at this price range anyway. Area is pretty good – Susukino has lots of dining options, bars etc. Very walkable to Odori if the weather is nice too.

Just a few minutes walk to the shopping street and ramen alley. If taking the subway, exit 3 should be right in front of hotel, but do take note this exit got no elevator.

This property was amazing, everything was new and modern not just in the room but the gym and bath as well. Staff were exceptional and very helpful.

Wry stylish and clean! Super convenient for my trip!

I stayed 2N in this new hotel and my stay went very well. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. There’s also a public bath and a gym on the top floor. I recommend it if you’re staying in Sapporo as it’s close to the subway station as well.

위치적으로 주변의 차량 주차도 아주 좋은 숙소였습니다. 침구상태도 좋았으며, 운동시설과 대욕장을 갖추고 있어 아주 좋았습니다. 리셉션의 한국어 가능한 분이 있어 이점 또한 편리했습니다. 허나 대욕장의 남자 탈의실의 냄새가 심해 이용하기가 불쾌했습니다.
