As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. We stayed for 3 nights there from the 20th to the 23rd. The lights went off on our last night there from around midnight to about 5 AM in the morning. But staff was pretty responsive by picking up the phone at the reception and someone went up to our floor to explain what happened and assured us that there was no fire.

The hotel's lights went out from 12 midnight until I woke up and went back to sleep and woke up at 4 am and it still hadn't turned on. There was no apology from the receptionist, they just said that the lights went out. In all my time in hotels, this is the first time I've experienced a power outage in a hotel.

Overall service is still OK, but there is a little problem when checking in, because there is a hotel tax payment rule and does not accept cash payments. This is a bit difficult for tourists from outside like us. Some problems with door access are a bit difficult to open. Some people complain about the same thing. The rest is all good.

I booked for 3 nights because we couldn't sleep because the bed was full of dust so our bodies itched while sleeping so for 2 nights we checked out and moved to another hotel, maybe this room was rarely booked so the cleanliness was not taken into account, for all it was ok, only the cleanliness of the room needs to be taken into account, thank you
