The Mandurah Hotel is among the limited, and yet best choices, located along the stretch of the beautiful Pantai Balok, Kuantan, Pahang. Pantai Balok, more popular among the locals, is a scenic beach that is completed with white sandy beach, clear azure waters of the South China Sea. The Mandurah Hotel is easily reachable by several method of transportations. The best way to go to the hotel is by driving as there not much of public transportations available around the Pantai Balok area. Driving to the hotel will take just under fifteen minutes from the city centre of Kuantan as it is located about eight kilometres away. From Kuala Lumpur, the drive to the Mandurah Hotel is some three hours away via the East Coast Highway. For those who are not looking forward for such a long drive, there are always buses going to Kuantan from most cities in Peninsular Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan by taking express bus, will take about four hours with ticket starts from as low as RM21. Express buses will stop at the Terminal Sentral Kuantan, just twenty minutes away from the hotel and there are plenty of taxis available that can bring the passengers to any places in Kuantan. There is also an option to take the plane to fly in into Kuantan. Kuantan airport, the Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport is half an hour away from the Mandurah Hotel. Flights to Kuantan are available almost daily from Kuala Lumpur. There are also flights coming into Kuantan from other states in Malaysia.
The Mandurah Hotel offers three types of room at its hotel. All of the rooms in the Mandurah Hotel come with free breakfast services for the guests of the room and complimentary Wi-Fi connection. Their rooms also have a free cancellation policy, which means that if booking is cancelled, there will be no penalty imposed to the guests. All of the rooms in Mandurah Hotel are non-smoking as this to ensure comfort to other guests, especially the children. The rooms have the standard basic amenities such as a coffee/tea making set, cable television, a minibar, a desk and a chair, together with an in-room safe. They also fixed in blackout curtains in the rooms. The rooms in Mandurah Hotel are divided into the Standards and the Suite. The first type of the room is the Standard King/Twin. This room is at RM 193, a night, comes in a 291-sqft room. The biggest room is the Family Suite that has the price tag of RM 400 a night. This room has two King-sized bed that can sleep four people comfortably. The Suite also has the best view as it is overlooking the beach
The hotel has one medium-sized pool by the beach that a perfect depth for children. The hotel also has a coffee house that functioned as their main restaurant. This coffee house has sitting an indoor and outdoor sitting area with the view of the South China Sea. The hotel also has several function rooms such as a meeting room that can cater up to 40 pax at a time or the bigger room, the Ricordea that can have a function with 250 pax.
Pantai Balok - This stretch of beach where the hotel is located is the perfect place to enjoy. The beach has fine, white sandy beach, cleaner than the overly commercialized and popular Pantai Teluk Cempedak. Its beach is also suitable for a swim.
As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.
