Excellent location right next to Rotterdam Blaak station. A short walk to the market hall, shopping areas, bars, restaurants and the harbour. Hostel itself is very unique (to say the least) with a great atmosphere. Simple and comfortable. Very knowledgeable staff who are very happy to help if you have any questions.
Local transport links are great (train, tram and water taxi... you have to try the water taxi)
Visit the Kaapse brewery tap if 30 craft beers on tap is your thing.

The hostel is in a landmark building, in the centre of a number of other landmark buildings. There are a large number of bars and restaurants very close by, most of them with patio dining options available. The hostel rooms and furniture seem to be very new.

Chose hostel because of its unique rooms but room was very small and windows were all boarded up unlike website photos. Only a small tiny window to look out of to see only street below. Check-in lady was not friendly at all…dismissive would be how I would describe her attitude. Not even a smile …only saving grace wax breakfast was provided and the night reception staff was much friendlier.

We appreciated sleeping in that iconic building. We had a room on the second floor. The view was towards the ground. It was a bit noisy but we had a nice stay. It is right by blakk station and the market, very practical.

Disappointed cannot have 2 bedroom suite which I speciality booked that day to stat at more upper floors and expected windows on upper part/skylight.

The location is fantastic, located right next to the Markthal and the Rotterdam Blaak station. However, despite the rules calling for quiet after 10 pm, there was still a lot of noise outside. The rooms aren't very insulated for sound and I could hear doors slamming, people talking and walking around to the point where I had to turn on white noise to drown it out. Staff was friendly, and it's certainly a unique experience to stay in the Cube Houses, but I am not sure that I would stay here again. Also, this *is* a hostel, so make sure you have your own towel and toiletries.

Very good breakfast and with very friendly people. A bit warm inside the room and I couldn’t open the window. I was also unlucky to have an older drunk gentleman snoring all night but the rest of the people in the room were very international and friendly.

We requested a room at the top floor upon booking but our request was not granted. Rather they gave us a room at the 2nd floor which is too tight and two of us got a bed bug bites.
Good for 1 night just to experience the cube house.
