Thon Hotel Trondheim

Great stay, reasonably priced. Basic single room with comfortable bed, shower and kettle. Great selection at breakfast, as well as complementary coffee in reception. Daily room service. Some hairs on bathroom floor on arrival but otherwise good level of cleanliness. Would recommend for a short break in Trondheim!

Right in central Trondheim which is excellent, fairly good hotel and reasonably priced. Good hot drink making facilities too!

Centrally located and close to main city square and shops. On a Saturday night there was so much noise from outside it was difficult to sleep. Breakfast good.

The property is in a good location it’s just difficult to unload and find parking. The breakfast was excellent and room was ok

I love the Thon hotels. The breakfast alone is worth staying here. Rooms are clean and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of just about everything. The only complaint I have - and it’s not the hotel’s fault - were landscapers outside with super loud tools and leaf blowers super early in the morning. Like 5:30 am.

The staff was helpful and nice, the room was decent enough, although it could have had a little maintenance, drooping shelf in bathroom and there was a window with a slightly broken hasp, resulting in a cold room. Fixed by getting an oven from the reception for 1 day, then I managed to lock the window better. Also the lighting is a bit sparse in the room, with finicky lights by the bed and finicky outlets. But this is just minor issues. Breakfast is decent and alot of choices. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the best possible area to get to anywhere almost, be it the Nidarosdome cathedral, Science museum, army museum, Stiftsgården, the old city bridge, shopping areas, concert venues. Etc.

Room was very nice, breakfast was delicious. Great location. Could have used a fan to cool things off as city is noisy with windows open at night.

This is a good hotel. The area where i stayed showed its older architecture. It is not a luxury hotel but it did its job quite well. The location is excellent and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

A great location in the city centre, with friendly staff

Overall hotel was ok. Should have been told up front that the elevator only went “6” floors. We are older and our room was on the 7th floor! Shower in our room leaked over bathroom floor when taking shower. Cleaner did not pick up dirty/cups & glasses until the last day we were there. Each day we put them on the desk or finally the window sill. All in all we decided to stick it out and not complain. There was one very sweet desk clerk girl that went out of her way to get us clean cups and one night the tv would not work and my husband thought it might be the remote batteries and she found new ones and he changed them and that was the problem. Also one day our room was not cleaned and she was so sorry and she found us clean towels. I would like to say that the bed was very comfortable.
