beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view. Very modern, feels upscale, nice rooms, friendly staff. Just expect to pay extra for good coffee at breakfast and for anything else but scrambled eggs. Yet go there within the next 12 month. It will hardly stay as beautiful as it is now. They have a serious management issue: no continuing maintenance. evident on the floor around the shower of the otherwise very nice pool, in the shower in the room, some pieces of paint falling off ad edges etc. If they'd put just nearly as much attention to maintaining the place as they did on building it then this place could remain a gem.

Great views with a relaxed and friendly vibe. Clean and spacious rooms. Mr Moustache the cat is the best.

We enjoyed our stay!! Patio- great! Pool was too cold to use but looked like such a good place to enjoy time amongst the vistas. The reception lady was amazing with lots of tips absolutely advice. The evening guy definitely accommodated us and was very helpful. The restaurant wasn’t open when we were there other than breakfast which was very good and satisfying with a wide array of options. Quiet and peaceful. It is up the hill from town so a bit of a walk if you are walking from the train in the rain. Lol hindsight we should have hired a taxi.

Excellent hotel with beautiful views of the Suoro Valley. Breakfast delicious and service outstanding. The shower has 7 heads for a full body massage. Beautiful balcony and comfortable double bed

Photos are totally misleading. We paid extra for river view and this was the view (see photo attached). The view you get from the infinity pool is the one in attach. You can only see Douro river at a 90 degrees angle. The pool was disgusting (completely green and with leaves on the surface). They made up an excuse about the color being bad, but the water quality being ok. Honestly, I did not trust them. The room was small, the air conditioning wasn't strong enough and bed unconfortable. At some point, we just wanna get our money back and leave. They promptly printed out booking rules to tells us that we couldn't get our money back even though this wasn't what we paid for. They preferred to have unhappy customers rather than let us be. Therefore, they could not care less about customer experience, only care about the quick buck. Stay away of this place.
