The hotel was bit of a disappointment for us. The rooms are tidy, the hotel clean, the indoor pool is nice (although pool showers only have freezing cold water), but unlike advertised, this hotel does NOT have a fitness centre / gym. Also, there's also "mistrust" towards the guests: When checking in, the receptionist didn't start with a "welcome" - instead I was told I'm 25 minutes too early. I knew it, I just wanted to ask if the room happened to be ready. Anyhow, shortly after, the receptionist went through a long policy note around the hotel towels, missing towel fees and towel card policies. I don't understand why that has to be the main thing during my check in experience.

The apartment I stayed in with my wife was spotlessly clean and looked like it had recently been decorated. After arriving slightly later than we anticipated we both felt slightly dissapointed when walking around the area in the dark trying to get our bearings but the following morning we had a better look around the area and were generally happy. Big Reds restaurant was very handy and well worth a visit. Overall I rate our stay 8.5 from 10. We both left the resort feeling happy about our stay.

We didn't get the room what we were hoping for the booking. It looks absolutely different. According to the hotel, our room is a sea view studio. The website has different pictures when you book.

Pictures are very deceptive!!! It’s a high rise and view is more parking lot than sea! Walls are thin, you will hear the neighbors cough and sneeze. I write this as I lay awake listening to a dog bark continuously … we are on the 6th floor, it’s not in the neighborhood. Beds are not that of the stated 3 star, 2 maybe 2.5 star accommodations… definitely not 3⭐️and definitely not a do over!

Me and my Boyfriend stayed at the Pestana Alvor Atlantico for 10 days. The hotel is located a little outside of Alvor directly at the beach. The rooms are very spacious with a wonderful view over the ocean. The rooms could need a little bit maintenance but since we didn’t spend much time in the rooms it was perfect. The apartment had all amenities needed like a fridge, a balcony etc.. the hotel and rooms were absolutely clean. The cleaning staff did an suburb job all around. The breakfast and dinner was amazing. The inside pool area is a little sad, a little bit more decorating would be nice but if you travel with kids that just want to jump in the water and splash around it’s great. We liked it here, Alvor ist Perfect, not as crowded as Albufeira etc. but very close to Lagos or Portimão. Will definitely consider staying with Pestana again if I come back to the Algarve. Great experience overall.
