Mondrian is an excellent hotel. My only complaint - but a significant one - is that it is hot everywhere - including in rooms. A/C cools only to about 25C/77F. I was sweaty and sticky the entire time I was there. I probably will not stay there again.

We enjoyed every moment at the Mondrian. We extended our stay for an extra night. The indoor and outdoor pool was spectacular. Cleo is an extraordinary restaurant. Every meal was delicious. We can’t wait to return.

I stayed at the Mondrian because I was familiar with the hotel and the area. The buffet breakfast was great with a mix of eastern and western foods. In contrast, the wine and cocktails were quite expensive so I didn’t drink at the hotel. Overall, it was a good experience

After checking in and trying to relax, I experienced the absurd situation of someone unlocking the door and entering the room. Despite this, Mondrian Hotel Korea’s response was to offer simple items like wine or cookies to appease the frustration. I strongly recommend securing the safety lock when staying at this hotel.

Property was clean enough, there are some areas that need improvement. For duration of my 9 day stay, housekeeping didn’t empty the bin in my washroom a few times, My room floor wasn't swept/cleaned, still found bits of tags/paper on the floor.
My bathroom had a leaky issue which was fixed rather quickly, I was given a drinks voucher which I appreciated at the time. When it came time to use it, it was pretty restrictive.
Very good restaurants options in the restaurant and nearby Itaewon area. Two bus stops within 1-5 mins walk of the hotel. A station is about 15mins walk as well.
Concierge/Reception were always quick to help whenever I needed assistance.
On the whole, I believe 4 stars is an appropriate rating.

The staff is friendly. I did not get free upgrade as gold member of Expedia. The room toilet has no bidet or washlet like other 5 star hotel I stayed in Korea. The elevator took unusual long time to come, a lot of times the elevator is so crowded. Very uncomfortable and Very inconvenient.

Great range of facilities with a range of bars, restaurants and cafes available. Great outdoor pool. Some damage in room, chipped furniture and cracked floor tiles invthe shower which i woukx not havd expected from a 5 star hotel. Good service at reception, booked taxis eith duscount forctravel back to airport

Check-in was a bit complicated. Arrived shortly after 3 pm and was given a time to return after 4 pm due to a large number of guests checking in. Returned at 4 pm and was told the check-in system was down. Unable to complete check-in until after 5 pm. The concierge gave us 2 free outdoor pool passes (60,000 won value) and allowed us to check out at 1 pm instead of 11 am as compensation. I also had a dog with me and the overnight fee is 110,000 won. They do bring a dog bed, water/food bowl, and a pee pad up to the room for the dog. The room was nice and clean, although the refrigerator was not very cold. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
