the facility isn't new, and the hitel need a refreshing. we expected more for money we paid. SPA was full booked, and even if not, it is only 30 min slotts, nit enough to change the close. the only positive with yhis hotel is the location.

The hotel has good location, close to the shopping street, which is giving many options for shops and restaurants. The family room we had is small but ok, and it’s clean and comfortable. The breakfast area is not so big, ok with breakfast items. Unfortunately must complain about one thing, about the service or the reaction of service tram. There was a accident in our room, one of glass which is in the corner on the sink surface just exploded by itself, don’t know when and how. Of course then become broken glass everywhere! At morning my wife went to bathroom, lights was off, she didn’t notice it. Once she step in, got piece of glass sticks into her foot, start bleeding immediately! I run down to reception, ask for help. Unfortunately the staff didn’t even pay much attention to listen what happened. They don’t have any first aid kit except little small bandage. How ever, I back to room, manage to get out the broken glass from my wife’s foot, stoped bleeding! During the time, there was no one come to check how is it! Only at the end, a house keeper come to clean the bathroom! I’m working with hospitality as well, just think this is not right/good reaction when something happens to your guest, especially not guests fault!

A worn hotel where

Perfectly located and in good order. Sad exterior though, so many Swedish cities architecturally ruined by buildings like this.

I am happy with the overall service I got from checking in, to the room which is clean with a very good bed to sleep. I also enjoyed their frukost buffet and the cleanliness of the restaurant and lastly very good and nice service attendants.

Booked last minute and checked in around 8pm. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel resto is great, big portion snd tasty. The room is ok and comfortable though tv channels are very limited. We opted for breakfast box instead of Buffett due to covid restrictions. We were offered extra box and thats very generous.

The room was quite cramped for myself and my two kids (8,10). Thought that for the money (almost 2000sek) the rom would Have been a bit bigger and that coffee/ tea and toiletries would have been provided. The bathroom door could not be locked and my son found a nasty looking piece of broken glass on the floor. Otherwise I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was in a prime location for anyone visiting Halmstad.

Grsat beds and - for Europe- spacious rooms. The hotel is perfectly situated next to the shopping area and clise to the railway station. Lovely helpful staff.

I stayed only one night, but the hotel was good, clean and the staff helpful. The hotel is situated near the center. The price was high during the World Table Tennis Championships, but I found the room very comfortable. It was nice surprise for me, that lunch and dinner were included. I came in the afternoon and was tired after the trip. But the lunch was delicious with many variations. So the price was not so high as I expected. Would come again for sure.

Amazing location . Close to everything. My dad and I came during the table tennis championship so it was extremely expensive to stay. Given that, still we expect the basic amenities and service at the hotel . However upon arrival only 1 towel for a 2 ppl standard room. We had to walk to another building to get to reception area to request one . Next day same thing.

took an hour to find parking - there's absolutely no parking available around this hotel area. Stayed there for one night, check in took about 20 minutes, room given had no heating/air conditioning. it was freezing. no toiletries. bed mattresses were terrible. couldn't sleep all night. When I told the front office staff about no heating, they said cant do anything because the rooms don't have heating so asked me to take their own heater which they were using downstairs.

Nice hotel, at least the half that has been renovated. Room was a bit dusty, and ironing board was broken, otherwise nice room, close view to the water. Really nice small town as well!

A perfect hotel to stat at when in Halmstad. The town around the corner and easy to go to Tylösand Beach from here.

Nothing to add

Hotel serves an excellent breakfast buffet spread and has spacious bedrooms by european standards. Only let down was room has no ventilation; this seems to be the norm in europe? Could get quite stuff and this is unfortunate. Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel has a good location, good breakfast and clean modern rooms. Typical Scandanavian style, but comfortable.

Nice hotel, comfortable room, good location, but... ... lousy service. We had dinner in the restaurant. food was good, but waiting sucks. When we had finished eating, our waitress had already left. A very rude young man delivered our bill after a long long waiting. When checking out the girl at reception did not recognize our payment -which was email confirmed by hotels.com. We had to pay another time. She insisted that she has it right, "in our system errors are impossible". Later same day someone called and said they will return the other payment. No apologies of course.

Teh Scandic Hotel in Halmstad, Sweden is a good all purpose hotel for singles or couples. It did not offer rooms for families and so we had to have two separate, non adjoining rooms for a four person family. The service was quite good and the brunch very nice. Bathroom amenities were a bit lacking, and given the high costs in Sweden generally, these matters should be addressed. Also the hotel has no air conditioning and with the warmer weather, that contributes to a somewhat less comfortable stay.
