Amazing hotel to stay. Accommodated our 1 year old with a cot and blanket. Beautiful room filled with so much character and history. The staff were lovely, also wanting to help with anything. Location was perfect for walking to most sightseeing attractions

This is a very traditional hotel, a little small and tired in places but ‘quaint’ . Breakfast was included and ok. Room was freezing on arrival but managed to turn the radiator up. Shower very small but serviceable for just one night. Would of liked additional pillows but to be fair we didn’t ask.

I guess that not all rooms are exactly the same as the room allocated to me in a different building next to the hotel. Arriving late night to the hotel the young lady at reception was profundly unwelcome despite all my efforts to change the room and stay in the main building. So at end after my decision to leave she cames out with free upgrade, too late for me who rather the money spent, prefers being safe and comfortable in a better welcoming place.

Like many, we stayed here for a night in September prior to riding the Bernina Express. Our room number 205 overlooked the courtyard and was spacious with a sitting area. The only awkward part is they chose to install a 3 panel folding glass door system over the bathtub edge to contain shower water. It’s clumsy compared to a curtain or a shorter fixed pane. The bathroom could use a shelf under the mirror for guests stuff.
The room is very nice and the staff friendly. There is a small elevator so you don’t have to carry bags up stairs. The hotel is a short walk to the extensive pedestrian shopping area in the old part of town. We found an excellent bakery for lunch and an inexpensive restaurant for dinner out within ten minutes walk.

The room was terribly small and sffocating! I felt as if was put in prison cell for a serious crime😀
The guy at the reception couldn’t speak English so had to use google translate to communicate.EVEN WORSE THERE WAS NO CHARGING PORT CLOSE TO THE BED. ONLY ONE PORT IN THE WHOLE ROOM WHERE I HAD TO PLUG IN THE FAN. A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

We loved the hotel stern and would stay there again. It’s a beautifully restored old building with each bedroom having a unique configuration and furniture. The staff was great and the food was fantastic. The town itself is very charming and this hotel lives up to the charm of Chur.

The staff were nice. They were kind enough to offer dinner at 11:30 pm. They offered the chargers. The property is very old. The mattress is too soft. Not many items available for breakfast. 10 mins walk from Chur station. it was bit uncomfortable.

From the moment we arrived. Lara on reception made us feel so welcome. She was super helpful about our onward journey to St Moritz. The Old Town is beautiful.

Stayed here for a night after riding the Bernina Express from Tirano. The room was small and only had one outlet, but we were not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. Otherwise, I loved the look of the room along with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. It was a great experience staying in a hotel built over 300 years ago.

The beautiful historic Hotel Stern was phenomenal. The location was great. The staff was top notch and very accommodating. The restaurant was superb. The food was amazing the service was on point. It definitely lived up to its Michelin star. We will definitely return.
