We had a great overnight stay at Dana Point Marina Inn. The location is fantastic — surrounded by beautiful water views, restaurants and shopping — all right outside your door. The hotel was perfect. Staff very helpful and efficient. Easy to give this place 5 stars!

Very convenient. Went to see Christmas boats parade . We parked by hotel and walked to see the parade . It was awesome . Hotel is good, very great location even though hotel overall is old but still ok, and inexpensive.

Cute town! Hotel is great for the price. Standard rooms, nothing specifically special. Balcony is nice for seaside air, but ours looked at covered parking spots. Come for the city, not the accommodations, per se

Staff was super friendly - but it is what it is- a very old hotel from the 70s and likely being razed in a couple years due to the local development. It’s down on the harbor and close to the bars and restaurants

Location,location,location. Could not be better. Hotel is tired…linens threadbare,door entry cards not reliable,furnishings need replacing. But, I would stay there again because of its waterfront presence.

A hotel at an excellent location. Services are good. Since the harbor view room I booked was not ready on time, they waved my two days parking fee. Nice furniture and comfortable bed but no microwave. Unfortunately the bathroom is very dated. Plenty restaurants around harbor area within walking distance. A nice staying experience.

I've stayed here a couple of times. This room was the worst one (223) No soap, 1/4 roll of toilet paper only, dingy linins, very noisy "air conditioner". Overall a shabby impression.
They did have a very nice breakfast though.

Keep in mind, this is a very dated hotel but very clean. Breakfast was great. Hot eggs/meat and everything you would find in a normal American breakfast.
Location was our choice in choosing this hotel. Right on the harbor, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions. Will definitely return.

Cute, great location, nice staff. Just don't have high expectations re condition. Many small items were in need of repair or rehab but it did not affect the short stay. Location cannot be beat and the staff was wonderful.

Location was amazing especially during Christmas. Lots of good walking areas. Staff was superb. Unfortunately the room was really dirty and as others have mentioned, needs a revamp. But it wasn’t just the old furniture and carpet. It was just a very neglected room. The incredible dust behind the tv, if you look in the coffeemaker well, it was disgusting. Mold on shower tile. Dirt and dust in the soap dish and on Glass shelves in the bathroom. The room key issue was annoying but the staff was super friendly and explained it to me upon check in so I just had to make a few trips up to the front to get them re-keyed which was fine. I still enjoyed my stay here!!
