Stayed here a few times to go into NYC. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Not far from either Harrison Station or Newark Penn Station. Every staff we encountered were nice and helpful.

The fire alarm went off at about 1:00 am. The hotel could have and should have given a later check out time instead of knocking on my door a hour prior to checkout. Considering the disruption in the middle of the night and the lack of any compensation for said disruption, the repeated knocking, 3 separate occasions, was quite obnoxious and ridiculous.

Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean! But… the breakfast was terrible. Some days they just decided not to make oatmeal, and almost evereday (3 out of 5) they ran out of bread. One day they said there is no bread, and some minutes later an employee came from the kitchen to toast a bread for herself. Another day they just decided out of nowhere that they have a limited breakfast for only 1 hour, no oatmeal, bread, or waffles were served. So the only things were banana, cereal, turkey sausage, and very dry scrambled eggs. Also, especially one of the employers in the kitchen was extremely rude everyday. Other employees at the hotel were very nice.
If the breakfast was decent, I’d rate the hotel 5/5, but the breakfast was just terrible.

We chose this hotel for the indoor poor, which was not available for use. The ice machine was broken. Breakfast was very limited and not very good. There was an extreme police presence all morning with the lobby and elevators being filled with heavily armed police (AR-15s and body shields) that terrified my daughter
