Finally a nice hotel in Tampa! We stayed in a king suite. It was really nice.

Everything was perfect!

No issues. Beatrice at the front desk was great!!!

This property has indoor rooms and the suites are around the back, but outdoors. I was upgraded to a suite which had a 1 bedroom with a King bed a pull out sofa, fridge, microwave, huge and nice, clean unit. The bathroom is very nice with a huge shower. No issues and even though I usually do not stay in outside units, this one was acceptable and pleasant. The property communicated with me throughout my stay through text message checking to see if I needed anything which was a plus. It’s pricy, but I’d rather pay more to be comfortable than be stuck in a run down hotel/property. There’s a publix nearby and other food places. Great location not far from the airport.

Other than having only one elevator functioning, it was a great stay at the Hotel Alva.

Staff was very helpful and courteous. The complementary shuttle to and from the airport is a great amenity. They also would take you to restaurants and shopping within 3 miles.

Staff is always welcoming, ambiance is excellent. Food is delicious.

Our second time staying here and we will definitely be stayin here again when we get back to Tampa

This property was severely challenged by hurricane damage, and while the property itself certainly lacked in several areas, the staff was exceptional in their attempts to do everything they could to service and provide for the guests.

The hotel was nice. What I didn’t like was their elevator service. So, they had about 3 elevators and they were only using 1. When you need the elevator there is a ring camera at the elevator and you have to press the ring camera button and then wait. When the elevator arrives they have an elevator attendant/operator who is sitting on a stool and asks you what floor then takes you to your floor. I thought this was extremely strange since the elevator is so small it was awkward. The fact that there was only 1 operating elevator was inconvenient and then the one that was working was cramped and came along with an extra person…this was 24hrs/day too. I don’t get it. Also, they had a fire pit outside that didn’t seem to be working. It would have been nice as we were there in January and it was cold in the evening/night. Other than that everything else was ok.

One elevator worked you had to press a ring camera and it would take forever, night front desk was rude, elevator person always smelled like marijuana which made the whole elevator smell ( I was traveling with a 6 year old)not appropriate especially for the Hilton name. Definitely a time and place for smoking marijuana work is not one of them I was placed in a room right next to a exit door so with the elevators not working you I would hear the door slam all night which caused us nowhere to get very much sleep

It was a great property. The suite was fantastic!!

I would not recommend this property. The rooms are dated, very noisy from the pool and staff is less than helpful. Our ac went out and we had to change hotels at 12am because theres no maintenance on staff at night. We asked to be moved to another Hilton property and they wernt even aware the property was associated with Hilton and stated it wasnt possible.

The elevators were out due to hurricane damage but the staff was so helpful and pleasant. They helped us get our luggage up and down the stairs with no problem.

Hotel is close to Tampa airport and with easy access for Tampa and St Petersburg. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. When we visited, the hotel had still no working elevators due to hurricane damage. They did mention it in advance though and had someone to help carrying the luggage to the room. Would definitely come again here if I am back to Tampa

Spent two nights on the hotel during Christmas week. There was only one elevator operating in a very improvised way (ring doorbells). Nothing was told about that during the checkin. In the second day the only elevator operating was broken. No sign was posted on the elevator door, so we had to figure it out ourselves and use the stairs. Very poor internet connection. Paid upfront for breakfast and was handed a priced menu on the restaurant. Had to figure out with the waiter how it would work. Could have been informed about that in the checkin.

What an amazing place to stay! The entire crew was amazing and the property was beautiful clean, neat, and neat. I have no complaints! Hats off to Miguel and the restaurant staff, Mr Sam at the bar, Mr Dave and the transportation staff, the wntire cleaning crew, last but definitely not least Noah and the entire front desk staff! We will most definitely return when we visit Tampa!

A beautiful property! Well kept, great staff. Only complaint was the early morning banging and noise. Walls are super thin. I could hear every conversation which of course kept me from sleeping in.
