I prefer the location in the financial district. This one seems seems to be lacking… I showed up and they put me in a room that had not been cleaned yet yet, then they put me in another room that I had no working phone and clearly had not been vacuumed or swept.

This was a great location for a single night stay in NYC. My husband and I went to a speakeasy tour on the lower east side. This hotel was within walking distance. It is modern and has beautiful views at the rooftop floor. Many dinner options in the area. Room was clean, but furniture was a little worn/cheap. The only downside was cost of parking.

I’ve stayed at the hotel 6 or 7 times in the last 2years. The last time being about a year ago. I liked it. I can’t say the same for my element stay. The bed was so uncomfortable after the 1st night I slept in the floor. The heating system rattled so loud I had to cancel 2 business calls. I left and checked into another hotel after the 2nd night. The staff is unhelpful and worse uninterested in guests. I not only will never stay at Hotel indigo again I will tell everyone I know and anyone who asks to avoid.

We accidentally left a Patagonia jacket in the closet and the hotel mailed it to us! Five stars, would definitely stay again!

Poorly trained and unhospitable staff, was asked multiple times from different doormen while i entered the hotel for key card to my room, ignored them and walked past about the 5th time that happened. Also, theres a club on the 15th floor and at nights the wait for an elevator was so long I had to use the stairs. Was charged about double for my stay with no explanation unitl I asked about it and was told it was a pre charge for "incindentals". Valet parking is a plus, but the pricing I'm seeing on these other reviews is inconsistent, other reviews stated they were charged an extra $20 for an SUV bringing their totals from $70 to $90 a night, while I was there I was told parking was $90, even though I drive a small sedan. When I asked about why it was different than what was posted, I was told to make sure to validate and it would be $70. The location of the hotel itself is good if you want to take advantage of the restaurants on Essex and Ludlow, but for the price I did not appreciate a bunch of ESL guys in suits asking me to prove I was staying there.

The hotel itself was great. The staff were super courteous and personable. They were professional while making you feel comfortable with letting their personalities shine through then just a plane “customer service” agent

Property was fine and did the job, local area is interesting if a little noisy

It was good the parking is expensive but that’s not the hotels fault. Only complaint was elevator did not work and we were on the 20th floor and had to walk one night.

Rooms located on lower floors have extreme street noise that will quiet down around 4am. Try to book rooms that face inside courtyard to eliminate this if getting any sleep is important for your health.

Very noisy from the restaurants/music in high floors

Few issues, that the hotel were not interested in sorting. I was told to deal with hotels.com to sort out a room saying it had city views, but we were on the 4th floor and looked into another brick building. Disappointed to think we paid extra for city views on New Year’s Eve. The other issue being my wife’s makeup bag went missing from the bathroom, again hotel were not interested.
