The hotel is adorable. Very clean and comfortable. The only negative is the lack of parking.

Our stay was great this hotel was so charming. Only problem is we kept hearing a door slamming right under our room all night long. I think the restaurant or kitchen was under us and it was bothersome to listen to that door slamming.

What a beautiful property! Our room was great and the added amenities were very nice! I loved the Nespresso machine and water and treats in the lobby! We plan to stay here again when we go back to Portsmouth.

What a well appointed, French art deco, lovely boutique hotel. Just off the Main Street in Portsmouth, it was convenient, quiet and quaint.

Such a cool spot. The decorating is immaculate. I wish my house look like it. My room is super cute and so is the lobby. The staff is very kind. Highly recommended.

Thaxter is a great spot right downtown Portsmouth. It was right next to lots of food options and to see all the parts of the town. The staff were great and super helpful. And check in was so easy!

The hotel lobby is really cute. Rooms were stylish and comfortable. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I liked getting updates and having text access for questions. We really enjoyed our short visit in this hotel. Also, Portsmouth was a really cute city, walkable and with tons of shops and restaurants nearby. Very happy with our stay.
