John Hand Club Hotel

First time going with my partner for his birthday & we both enjoyed it!

One of the best hotels in Birmingham! Love it and highly recommend!

Fantastic!

When we arrived around 10 pm there was only a security guard to give us our key. We had two large suites, but when we went on the elevator to our rooms there was only one large suite and a smaller room. Surprised, I went downstairs to get a key for our room that we had already paid for, a large suite. The security guard didn’t know anything, and there was no other staff.to their credit, the security personnel called the manager and inquired about our room. That was when we were told our original room had a water leak, and they had given us a smaller room instead. I understand the swapping of rooms, but not telling us in advance was not great concerning the price we paid for the full suite. I had to ask for a reduced rate, it was not offered. In my smaller suite, the bathroom faucets would spin when tried to turn them on. I had to hold the base in order to get them to turn on, and when I opened the hot water there was no actual hot water. For this price point the overall experience and maintenance of the rooms are definitely not up to par. We will stay elsewhere next time.

super friendly staff and super cool place to stay!

Our suite was comfortable in every way (bed, shower, living room, common area). My wife and I loved our stay and wished every hotel was so nice. Also, the staff was uniformly helpful and gracious.

Beautiful historic hotel, lovely decor and a friendly staff

This hotel was beautiful and only had one floor for the hotel rooms. The front desk staff are so nice and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Great room and value. Perfect location with lots of fantastic food options and things to do within walking distance. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Will come back.

Juwon manages the Hotel Floor and yhe place is immaculate, cozy and private. And the access to the 20th Floor Private John Hand Club is a bonus with amazing views and friendly and talented staff.

Check-in was difficult. Hotels.com sent us a non-functional door code and security wasn’t at the front desk. No one answered the phone numbers listed on the door to call. Brisk walk through the rain to parking deck next block over to get security to answer phone to let us in the door. Living room in the Heaviest Corner suite strongly smelled of marijuana and lots of street noise hindered sleep somewhat. Otherwise, room was clean and appeared well kept. The bed was comfortable and shower was beautiful and refreshing with great water pressure.

Quality facilities in a safe building with a security guard

We enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect for walking to many spots to eat or drink. Our room was cozy with a nice view. We plan to be back!
