This property is in a quieter part of town and just a block from a major roadway that makes it easy access to most of the area.

An enjoyable stay

Our family has stayed at the Parkwood numerous times as we have a student at Kansas State. Parkwood has been a great, economical option that is close to campus, and clean. Breakfast has been good and we have enjoyed good service. This time was different. Breakfast was terrible: limited options with all of the hot food being luke-warm at best. We have enjoyed the breakfast here before and did not allow for time to eat elsewhere. Perhaps we should have just checked out and grabbed something quick. We left our room (2 adults and college aged daughter) to go to breakfast. We left ALL of our belongings in the room as it was 2.5 hours before check out and we were not quite ready to leave. My daughter went back up to the room to shower and found housekeeping in our room cleaning. The beds had been stripped and staff was cleaning the bathroom. We had very clearly not checked out. The staff did not even leave when my daughter re-entered the room and just continued cleaning. We had expensive electronics in the room in addition to all of our personal documents and wallets/purses. We also discovered that the housekeeper had taken the pillowcase off of my pillow and thrown it in with the dirty linens belonging to the hotel. It was very clearly not a hotel pillow. At this point we had asked housekeeping to leave the toom to allow us to finish getting ready and pack. My partner had to go find the staff to locate my pillowcase. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

The hotel is pet friendly and there’s a park across the street that has bags to be able to pick up after your dogs. My room had luxury vinyl flooring which is great when bringing your dogs.

Good stay! The property around it just seems a little sketchy :/

Didn't get to stay the night. They would not accept cash payment. Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and it was absolutely wonderful.

I was in town for a meeting and the Parkwood was a good close choice

Friendly front desk people, Clean room and comfortable bedroom equipped with Iron and iron table. Their breakfast isn't that good and it comes with minimal selection.

The room was tidy a facilities were good, but the bed and mattress was worn and extremely uncomfortable. My wife and I both woke up with back ache because it felt like we slept in a hammock. The towels should also be replaced as they old and washed out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast options were average.

This place should not advertise that it offers free breakfast. That description does not fit what was available each morning. No OJ the first day, only one flavor of yogurt, not so much as a bagel on offer, just plain bread tossed in a plastic case! Then there were the "hot" items. I don't know how they cook their eggs, but they were flavorless rubbery little rounds. I cannot call the white mushy stuff in the other warmer "hash browns" because there was no color to them. At all. Then there is the staff.... A sign on the front desk says that, effective December 2022, housekeeping is only offered M/W/F. I hung the "do not disturb" sign on my door and the room was entered and cleaned, anyway. Traveling alone with a bunch of meds for chronic conditions, I do NOT appreciate having no control over my security! I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Ok 1st of all, its crazy expensive! 2nd its the worst bed, and pillows ive experienced in quite some time.

Young lady at front desk was great! Friendly and super helpful. VERY clean! Would have given 5 stars for “comfort”, but the mattresses were lumpy. We'll definitely stay there next time we visit our Manhattan family.

The facility is excellent. Room was spotless, check-in staff very efficient. The breakfast was ok. Coffee lukewarm, standard food choices, but again, not hot.

I have stayed at this hotel four or five times in the last month. Everything has been good every time. This time the mattress in the bed that I slept was terrible. I believe that they should consider replacing it. The right side appeared to be broken down. The mattress sloped to that side of the bed. I slept on the other side of the bed, but I felt like I was about to roll to the other side all night.

Enjoyed our stay and glad to get a room on a football game day weekend. Always concerned about the public wifi and breakfast wasn't as good this time -- no "plain" waffle option, just a choice between birthday cake and chocolate flavors.
