Staff went above and beyond for us.

The thermostat in the room did not work properly. Room temperature could not be set. It was too warm.

The property is very clean and beautiful. Enjoying every moment when we were there

Our stay was amazing. We stayed a week and the staff was very friendly. Thanksgiving buffet was outstanding. Definitely coming back !

Aesthetically beautiful to the eye, the hotel is situated along the St. Clair River. Staff and cleanliness were both of superb quality. However, the overall comfort of my stay was seriously and negatively affected by the loud noises from the neighboring rooms and hallway noise. I’d describe the walls and doors of my room as paper thin, which affected my ability to fall asleep. This hotel is at best a 3 star.

Nice area

The rooms and grounds at this hotel are very lovely. Very clean, very comfortable, and spacious. However, there were several distinct issues; 1. I was told at check in that there were issues with HVAC at my end of the hotel and I would have no control of my room temperature. This should have been made known in advance. My room was way too warm at night. 2. The hotel staff also slid a note under my door to let me know that for a small portion of my stay the TV in my room would also not be working due to a system upgrade. It seems like this is something that could be done in the middle of the night. 3. The continental breakfast offered was barely that. A few pastries, yogurt, bananas, coffee and orange juice was the totality of it. It was so small that a medium size round foyer table contained the complete contents. For hotel at this price point I would have expected a little more. A full breakfast is not necessary. But some source of protein or choices that were not loaded sugar would have been nice. 4. There are no amenities like coffee offered throughout the day in the lobby. 5. This is a pet friendly hotel so if barking dogs are not your thing…steer clear. On an overall…rooms are great! Property is beautiful. But for the price point the hospitality and amenities just don’t align. When you spend almost $700 for two nights it raises the expectations. I’ve had better service at a Hampton Inn. Therefore, while I loved the property the experience did not justify cost.

Stayed for an event. Expensive, but the river views of freighters and boats was beautiful.

Loved everything about this unique place. We would stay here again if we ever pass through this area. Beautiful location on the river.

Room was very clean, eco-friendly and nicely appointed. Great view of the river and freighter traffic. Would recommend this property. Purpose of our stay was a girls weekend reunion.

Love being right on the water watching the Freighters pass by very enjoyable for us ! Very relaxing great rooms with a balcony . Beds could use a better mattress , Enjoyed the Board Walk in the park next to the Inn. Nice Plaza across the street from the Inn for shopping . Dinning has a Great View of the water.

The lady at the front desk was wonderful and so helpful. You got a great girl there. But our bathroom was very dirty with many hairs in the shower which we cleaned. Your Bar tender was very nice and the salmon was excellent overall nice. Was our 25th anniversary

The service and staff were amazing. My daughters surprised us with a stay for our 40th anniversary. The staff even brought us chocolate covered strawberries! (Extra, paid for by my daughters). The only bummer was the main restaurant they advertise was not open when we stayed. There were little "human" issues here and there, but like I said, the staff was so kind and the woman from the hotel, 'Muca' specifically, made sure our stay went smoothly. I would like to mention to hotels.com that the beautiful photo of the white fabric tablecloths in a windowed room overlooking the river is not for guests. It is for special events and weddings only...Another little bummer when we realized the dinner my girls had planned (and paid for prior to our stay) was going to have to be at the Dive Bar (real name) across the street and of which wasnt even open, as stated earlier. All in all, a beautiful hotel, with a gorpeous patio overlooking the river. A freighter went by and i swear we could touch it! Grateful for our little stay. ♡

With so many pretty places on the grounds they need to dedicate a smoking area for those people who would use it. The balcony about the pool would be great or a place in the corner of the patio.
