Absolutely loved this place. I will be back many times

Perfect quiet stopover on our trip south. Convenient location, comfortable room, lovely restaurant, friendly staff, all in an interesting architectural setting of the old First National Bank of Gastonia.

I wanted to love this boutique hotel. We arrived after dark and found street parking right outside the front door. The hotel is a converted bank which is cool. The lobby restaurant smelled amazing when we walked in and was pretty full! The queen bed was pretty much all that fit in the room. We couldn’t find the thermostat because it was placed behind the sliding bathroom door so we had to call the front desk (which we did from our phone because the room phone said that # had been disconnected)! The shower was extremely small. We wanted to love the room but it was too small for me and my 10 year old son to move around without having to get out of each others way. Not sure if all the rooms are this small or not but 201 is!

Great use of space

Staff was great, super friendly and helpful with suggestions for places in the area to eat. Room was clean and comfortable.

This was a Historical hotel but with all the upgrades in all the rooms.

Was a lovely place to stay while visiting my parents! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and cozy. Definitely going to stay there everytime I visit my mom :)

Staff not friendly - nightstand dirty and keurig and as dirty

Rooms are small and consequently there was no room for a chair. The bed was very comfortable though. Hotel was very clean. Staff was very cordial and helpful. We would stay there again. Historical building. Much of the key esthetics have been preserved. English paneling in the elevator. Very tastefully decorated

Amazing stay! We grabbed dinner at the restaurant downstairs because it was convenient, and wow, amazing!! Staff was great. Saw other reviews saying the rooms were “small” but didn’t find that to be the case. Super clean, and comfortable bed. Loved the history and build of the hotel. Will definitely be staying there again if we are anywhere in the area. Only negative had nothing to do with the hotel. Woke up to sirens a couple of times…. Again, nothing to do with the hotel. Highly recommend!! (hotel and restaurant)

Nice clean rooms, no carpet which is a good thing. Nice restaurant at dinner The only negative note is the breakfast, definitely improvement is needed at morning breakfast. Thank you

A brief stay, wish I had more time to enjoy. Old style building with updated comfy rooms. Had a corner room so I enjoyed views from 2 directions.

The room could’ve used a microwave

The time I spent at the hotel was very relaxing and if anything was needed the staff was very accommodating. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. And I will be coming back again to stay in the near future.

The only suggestion I have is to have some fresh food available for breakfast for those of us who are vegetarian. The hotel is really unique and attractive.
