Excellent excellent service! I cannot stress enough how helpful and wonderful the staff was. We were greeted with our doors being opened up by the valet men. The front desk woman was so kind and explained everything so well! We were even helped when we decided to extend our trip! The grant grill breakfast was to die for! The concierge helped us out with things to do and where to go! He even made us a reservation for our dinner! We loved everything about this place too! It was so beautiful inside and the room was absolutely gorgeous and clean! We were treated with the utmost respect and we really appreciate this place!

This is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The staff was stellar, both in their superlative care for one’s every need and the privacy and space afforded to guests. The bed was so comfortable and my room had everything I needed.

Front desk checked me in super early which was nice as I had to fly in for a one day conference. This allowed me to change clothes in a nice room vs a bathroom. Overall the hotel is beautiful and my room was very nice. Great bed and condition. My only regret is there is no gift shop to buy snacks

Gates/Doors on the main entrance are blocked, so to check-in you need to enter from the back (no email or instructions are sent to you about it…). Costs for food and services are shamelessly pricey - get ready to be overcharged with hidden and random fees.
Oh and beware outside, there are homeless people and others in difficult situations sleeping just around the hotel / park.

Gorgeous hotel. Wonderful restaurant for breakfast. Wish we knew there was full coffee in the lobby instead of ordering room service. Love the security feature of the elevator room key. Perfect location if you want to walk around to any event including Petco.
This is only a lovely review of the hotel itself. The homeless issue and disgusting smell of pee all over DT SD is a whole other story. Very sad to see another beautiful california city going downhill.
