On the whole trip it was unfortunately only a rip-off from tourists wherever possible! The boat transfer to the island has been increased from 200 to 900 bath (per person) because we seem to be running late and it was only possible to buy the return ticket at the same time or no transfer to the island. On arrival on pier Ko Samet it was the same. Instead of 50 bath, the taxi wanted 200 bath because it didn't have many customers and it was already late. We are talking about 7.30 p. M. In the evening and not midnight. On weekends everything is crowded with party people, tourists and locals. This is not a place for vacation or recreation. I know Thailand very well and have been married to a Thai woman from Isaan for years. She's used to a lot, but that was too much for her too. She was sad about shameless cheaters in her country!
