About

Long before trips abroad became accessible to almost everyone in Manila, the go-to place for Christmas time or summer vacation was Baguio, rightfully earning the title as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. Because of its high altitude, the weather in Baguio is crisp and cool, with temperatures going down to as low as 10 degrees during the “winter” months. While the weather is enough reason to take the four-hour drive up, Baguio also boasts a number of delicious restaurants, historical sights, and the sweetest homegrown strawberries you can find in the country. A trip to the City of Pines will remind you of childhood and the simpler days when a piping cup of hot chocolate could make everything better.

Why book a Baguio Villas?

The Old Orangewood Bed and Breakfast

Baguio will always be a family destination, which means mom, dad, and the whole barangay has to come along for drive. And because the journey is quite long, staying for just a day or two is never enough. This means that squeezing in a tiny room just won’t cut it and booking separate rooms for everyone isn’t as fun. Renting a villa for your family or friend’s trip to Baguio is always the more practical option. Not only will you be more comfortable, you will get to spend more time together. After all, what is a trip to Baguio without gathering together in a cozy living room?

Types of Villas:

When looking for Baguio villas for rent, the most important thing to consider is space. Other things such as amenities, views, and style should come after. Here are some of the options offered:

Baguio Holiday Villas

  • Family Villa - A family villa would usually come with multiple rooms and extra beds to accommodate larger groups. A living room with lots of seating and dining area are also key features of family villas.
  • Garden View Villa- A Garden View Villa is a popular option for guests who enjoy being surrounded by nature. It is a great option for those visiting during the cold months as the villa does not require air conditioning.

  • Baguio Attraction & Activities:

There’s just something about Baguio that keeps people coming back. Everyone has their own reasons, whether it be for the cool temperatures, or to relive memories, the mountain town will always have a special place in almost every Filipino’s heart. If you’re one of the few who needs convincing, here are some sights to see and activities to experience during your trip:

    Strawberry Taho

  • Gulp down strawberry taho - This cheap and satisfying treat probably ranks in everyone’s top reasons for visiting Baguio. The taho comes with the regular silky tofu and sago pearls and is topped with the signature strawberry syrup. The aroma of the sticky-pink syrup will lead you to the vendors who usually hangout in tourist-heavy areas. Don’t be ashamed if you end up gulping down two or three cups in a sitting, because one will never be enough.
  • Go ghost hunting - Ghost stories are attached to almost every building in Baguio in fact, these stories have become so popular that haunted tours are regularly held, especially during halloween. Infamous places for ghostly sighting include the Diplomat Hotel, Casa Vallejo, and Loakan Road.
  • Thrift shopping - Baguio is a gold mine for bargain hunters as you can find a wide selection of imported and original brands such a Doc Martens and all your favorite luxury handbags. If you have the eyes for spotting valuable pieces and the talent of haggling, then this is the place to be.

  • How to get around:

Baguio is approximately four hours away from Metro Manila via the North Luzon Expressway and the Tarlac - Pangasinan - La Union - Expressway. If you don’t bring your own vehicle, getting around Baguio is fairly easy as it is like any other bustling metropolis. Jeepneys and tricycles can be found just about anywhere. Since the weather is cool, it’s also a pleasant experience to explore the city by foot.

    Travelite Express Hotel
Travelite used to be my favorite place because it is strategically located near Burnham, Baguio Market, and Session Road. However, I am a little disappointed with my recent stay because the bathroom provided to us was missing a faucet in the shower. Another issue was the water pressure. I'm not sure if it 's the faucet on the sink or the water pressure itself, but it 's inconsistent. No matter how much we try to control the faucet, the water blasts out and ends up wetting our clothes. Now, I'm unsure if I will return.

    Hotel Supreme
Door to the balcony is broken. Room has cockroaches and staff will enter your room without your knowledge. I appreciate them cleaning while we're gone, but I'm not comfortable that someone enters the room without our permission and while we're gone.

    Tuscany Hotel Baguio
Loved my stay in Baguio. The hotel was super accessible, clean and comfy. The room was good and AC working properly. I liked that the staff were always helpful but the female front desk staff were not so friendly and usually had long faces instead of smiles.

    Citylight Hotel
The place is near to all attractions in the city center. Checking in and waiting for the elevator takes a long time though so you would need patience on that. The breakfast buffet is good, there 's a variety of food.

    Villa Silvina Hotel and Restaurant
We thought this was a steal at the time of booking but when we arrived, the room was not clean at all. The fan has a lot of dust, stains and hair strands found on the sheets and floor plus a used mask under a bed. Worst Baguio experience so far. The staff are nice but the room is really not clean. I won't recommend this at all.

Staff were friendly especially the reception folks. We arrived early and allowed to have an early check in. Hotel and room interior needs renovation badly though. Location is quite far from usual tourist spots.
