Day 1

Vienna at Night

After arriving in Vienna, your first stop is the famous St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom), an iconic symbol of the city. This grand Gothic masterpiece, with its towering spire and intricately patterned roof tiles, has been the spiritual heart of Vienna for centuries. Inside, visitors are captivated by its stunning altars, intricate stained-glass windows, and the impressive pulpit.

Following your exploration of the Stephansdom, head across the street to Do & Co Restaurant for lunch. Next, take a short 4-minute stroll to Mythos Mozart, a multimedia experience dedicated to the life and legacy of one of Vienna's most famous residents, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Visitors are immersed in the world of Mozart through interactive exhibits, stunning visuals, and music, gaining insight into the genius of this classical composer and his deep connection to Vienna.

From Mythos Mozart, walk along Kärntner Street and the Graben, two of Vienna's most famous streets, to the Golden Quarter (Goldenes Quartier). Day 2

After breakfast, take the U4 underground to Schönbrunn Station and walk to Schönbrunn Palace. Built as a summer retreat for the imperial family, the baroque palace and gardens of Schönbrunn are the most visited attraction in Austria and a World Cultural Heritage Site. Be sure to book a palace tour in advance so you don’t miss out on seeing the state rooms and private apartments of the imperial family. Afterwards discover the vast gardens, which are also a popular recreation spot for the Viennese. Allow half a day to explore Schönbrunn Palace and relax in its its gardens.

From Schönbrunn take the U4 underground to Spittelau and walk to nearby House of Strauss,the former Casino Zögernitz. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch or exquisite afternoon tea at the restaurant before visiting the museum dedicated to Vienna’s golden son, the Waltz King Johann Strauss and his musical family. Experience the world of the Strauss dynasty at the original venue. All four Strauss composers have once performed at Strauss Hall. Today, visitors can enjoy an authentic auditory experience that echoes the city’s illustrious musical past.

For your last evening in Vienna, return to the city centre. Attend a classical music concert featuring the famous works of Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Wiener Residenz Orchester curates some of Vienna’s best musicians, opera singers and ballet dancers for an authentic cultural experience. Concerts are held at the historic venues Palais Liechtenstein, The Old Stock Exchange or Konzerthaus. Dinner and Concert Packages are also available, otherwise choose a local restaurant for dinner beforehand.

End the evening with a night cap at the Loft, on the 18th floor of the SO/Vienna, offering unprecedented views of Vienna.

Day 3 – Vienna

Wiener Linienhäuser

Start your day by visiting the lively Naschmarkt, Vienna's most famous market. This bustling spot is perfect for an authentic taste of Vienna's vibrant culinary scene. At the market itself, you'll find local specialties, plus spices and delicacies from all over the world, as well as numerous restaurants serving international cuisines. It's a food lover's paradise where you can sample everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to mouthwatering street food. While exploring, don't miss the opportunity to snap some photos in front of the charming Wiener Linienhäuser—the traditional Viennese row houses that line the streets around the market, known for their picturesque architecture and colorful facades.

After soaking in the sights and tastes of the Naschmarkt, take a short trip to the Vienna State Opera (Staatsoper), one of the world’s leading opera houses. Known for its stunning neo-Renaissance architecture, the opera house offers both guided tours and performances. You can explore the lavish interior, visit the grand staircase, and learn about the rich history of this cultural landmark. If you're a fan of classical music, this is a must-see, as the Staatsoper has been the venue for some of the most iconic operatic performances in history.

Stop for refreshments at nearby Café Sacher and treat yourself to the original Sachertorte, an indulgent chocolate cake, and one of the 35+ varieties of coffee. The Café Sacher offers the perfect setting to experience the typical Viennese coffee house culture.

From the Café Sacher it is only a short walk to the Hofburg, the imperial winter palace of the Habsburg Emperors. The former residence of the imperial family is one of the largest palace complexes in the world and houses many different attractions: from the Imperial Apartments and Sisi Museum, Imperial Treasures and Armor Collections, to the famous Spanish Riding School and the Hofburg Chapel where the Vienna Boys’ Choir perform High Mass.

From the Hofburg stroll past the Heldenplatz and Maria-Theresien-Platz with the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History on either side of the square until you get to MuseumsQuartier(MQ). The Museum Quarter is one of the largest districts for contemporary art and culture in the world. Enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants at the MQ or the surrounding Spittelberg district. The neighbourhood is filled with lively bars, cafés, and restaurants, soaking in the relaxed Viennese evening ambiance.

Day 4

Begin your day with an authentic Austrian breakfast at Café Museum in Vienna. This charming café is known for its delicious pastries and hearty breakfast options, providing the perfect fuel for your trip.

After breakfast, head to Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) in Vienna to catch a train to Salzburg. Enjoy the scenic three-hour train ride through the picturesque Austrian landscape. As you leave the flat surroundings of Vienna, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Alpine mountains gradually rising on the horizon.

Upon arrival in Salzburg, check into your hotel and prepare to explore the beautiful Old Town. This area, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a treasure trove of historic architecture, charming streets, and vibrant squares. Take a leisurely afternoon stroll, soaking in the atmosphere of this stunning city. Wander through St Peter’s Cemetry to Stiftskulinarium (formerly St. Peter Stiftskeller)for dinner, which boasts the title of the oldest restaurant in the world, established in 803 AD. Day 5

Collegiate Church,

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at Kaffeehäferl, a cozy café known for its warm ambiance and delicious pastries. This is the perfect spot to savor traditional Austrian breakfast options and prepare for a day of exploration.

After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll down Getreidegasse, Salzburg's famous shopping street filled with charming boutiques. Here, you’ll find the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This historic site is where the legendary composer was born, and it now serves as a museum showcasing his early life and works.

Drop into Collegiate Church, a fine example of baroque architecture on your way to the Festival Halls, home of the famous Salzburg Festival. Guided tours provide an insight into the world of art, theatre and music.

Following lunch at one of the many lovely cafés or restaurants in the area take a bus to Hellbrunn on the outskirts of Salzburg. Experience a unique cultural jewel which is to be found nowhere else in the world. Roam the vast gardens and visit the palace before heading back into the city.

Day 6

 Schloss Leopoldskron

Day 7

Salzburg view

There, you'll discover a wide range of brand-name stores offering fantastic discounts on fashion, accessories, and home goods. It’s the perfect spot to score great deals while savoring a modern shopping experience.

The outlet also features a variety of restaurants, making it an excellent spot for lunch. Choose from several options to refuel before continuing your day.

After your shopping spree, head to the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress. This impressive medieval fortress towers over the city and offers stunning panoramic views of Salzburg and the surrounding mountains. Inside, you can explore the fortress’s fascinating museums, including exhibits on its history and the beautiful palace rooms.

Following your exploration, take a 10-minute stroll to St. Peter Stiftskulinarium. As the sun sets, indulge in the traditional Salzburger Nockerl, a light and fluffy dessert that is a local specialty. Day 8

Salzkammergut

Start your adventure to the beautiful Salzkammergut region by taking the Bus 150 from Salzburg to St. Gilgen Busbahnhof. The journey is quick and efficient, allowing you to soak in the stunning scenery along the way. Once you arrive, take a short 5-minute walk to the St. Gilgen ferry station “Seepromenade”.

From there, hop on a scenic boat ride to St. Wolfgang. The picturesque journey across the lake offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush landscapes, making it a memorable experience.

Upon arriving in St. Wolfgang, head to the Schafbergbahn, a historic cog railway that takes you to the summit of Schafberg Mountain. This charming train ride offers stunning vistas as you ascend, and once at the top, you'll be greeted with panoramic views of the Salzkammergut region and its sparkling lakes. The summit is a perfect spot to take photos and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.

Day 9

Kufstein

In the morning, take the train from Salzburg to Kufstein (approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes). Located in the north of Tirol, Kufstein is home to a stunning medieval fortress that dominates the town. Begin your day by exploring the fortress, where you'll be treated to spectacular views of the surrounding region. The fortress houses a local history museum and features the world’s largest free-standing organ, adding to the charm of this historical site.

Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll through Kufstein’s town centre and wander down Römerhofgasse, a picturesque street lined with traditional wine taverns and quaint shops. Don’t miss a visit to Kufstein’s parish church, a beautiful late Gothic building dating back to around 1400, offering a glimpse into the town’s rich religious heritage.

From the church, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the renowned Riedel Glass Factory, famous worldwide for its finely crafted glassware. Day 10

Innsbruck

Start your day with a hearty breakfast in Kufstein before boarding the train for a scenic 40min ride to Innsbruck, the capital of Tirol. After check in at your hotel, head to Innsbruck’s charming old town. This bustling area is perfect for sightseeing, with its historical architecture and lively atmosphere.

In the heart of the Old Town, make sure to visit the famous Goldene Dachl (Golden Roof), a landmark building with a stunning gilded roof. Just a 2-minute walk away, stop for lunch at Weisses Rössl, a traditional Austrian restaurant known for its cozy ambiance and authentic local dishes.

This magical destination features 18 sparkling chambers of wonder, each designed by internationally acclaimed artists and designers. Inside, you’ll be mesmerized by the creative displays of crystal art. The grounds also offer beautifully landscaped gardens, perfect for a stroll. Additionally, the world’s largest Swarovski store provides a fantastic opportunity for some shopping, where you can pick up exquisite crystal pieces as souvenirs.

Before visiting the museum, extensive gardens and going wild in the shop, enjoy lunch at Daniels Restaurant by DoN, located within Swarovski Crystal Worlds, to give you energy for your afternoon in one of Austria’s most visited attractions.

In the evening, return to Innsbruck’s old town for a final meal at the Stiftskeller. This charming restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and a variety of authentic Tirolean dishes, providing the perfect end to your day exploring the best of Innsbruck.

Afterwards, immerse yourself in the local culture of Innsbruck and spend a unique evening enjoying a Tyrolean folk show Tyrolean Evening Show with the Gundolf Family with traditional Austrian music and customs. Day 12

 Ötztal Public Transport

Take a one-hour train journey to Längenfeld, your gateway to Ötztal - a beautiful valley in Tirol, known for its stunning alpine scenery, tranquil atmosphere and fantastic winter and outdoor sports. It’s an ideal destination for those looking to relax and reconnect with nature, offering everything from majestic waterfalls to soothing thermal baths.

Your adventure in Ötztal begins with a ride on the Gaislachkogelbahn cable car up to 3,040 metres above sea level, where you will find 007 ELEMENTS, a unique, interactive, high-tech installation of everything James Bond. The installation focuses on Spectre, which was shot in Sölden and also features other titles in the long-running Bond film franchise. After taking in the stunning views from the viewing platform, enjoy lunch at Ice Q - Austria’s highest gourmet restaurant at 3.048 m – but plan ahead, reservations are required.

In the afternoon, visit the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld, open till late, a luxurious thermal spa (and hotel) that feels like a magical escape. Day 13

Stuibenfall Waterfall

Before heading to the airport to fly back home, visit the Stuibenfall, the largest waterfall in Tirol, standing an impressive 159 meters tall. The sight of the cascading water is breathtaking, and the area offers plenty of spots to take incredible photos. With observation platforms and suspension bridges, the Stuibenfallis perfect for nature lovers and photographers alike.

After enjoying the waterfall, head to Gasthof Leiter's Hoamatl, a traditional restaurant nearby, for a hearty Tirolean lunch. The rustic atmosphere and delicious local dishes make it the perfect place to relax after your morning hike.
