Requested non-smoking room, was provided a smoking room because the smell circulating in the air con was disgusting, all the clothes stink of cigarette after staying this room. The TV remote stopped working upon first day, was changed out by staff. The fridge didn't cool properly. The ironing board and towels provided were stained. Bedding and rubbish wasn't changed throughout the 5 day stay. When we used the shared laundry facility there was a blockage in the water pipe so flooded the room. I would definitely not stay at the motel side of this place again, it was terrible. We've stayed on the apartment side before and it was newer and much much nicer.

Think the toilet pan was loose on floor. Might need to be checked in 48 but only management needs to know this!

The room I stayed in was worn and poorly maintained. There are holes in the wall along the stairs and the handrail screws are loose. Only shower is above the raised tub to climb into, and there are hairs in the drain and on the floor mat. The shower head itself has mound coming from the holes. Toenail clippings and tablets (google tells me it’s a Dexamphetamine Sulfate 5mg) on the floor. Complimentary milk in the fridge was already open. Clothes and a toy under the bed. Mattress is exhausted with springs that you can feel when you lay down. I cannot understand how this motel gets the ratings it does.

Receptionists were helpful and customer service was effectively appreciated. Tudor design and garden within was a pleasant experience

I was reluctant to use air conditioner because bacteria breed in uncleaned filters and the air con looked very dirty

The 1-bedroom serviced apartment was a good space, clean, with comfortable beds and kitchen equipment in a safe and quiet area, but the overall stay was let down by the very poor wifi, keycards that would not work, restaurant that was closed, few dining options nearby, no housekeeping, and old outdated gym facilities with equipment that was basically non-functional. Stayed here due to its proximity to the university and the "4 star" rating but will not again.

The room was spacious and staff receptive to my requests. They could do better with house keeping, I stayed for 9 days without any house keeping offered. Luckily, I generally use my own towels at any hotels so it was not much of an issue. They also can improve in controlling cars parked in their car park as I realised cars for non-guests were being parked resulting in guests finding no parking space at night. Some guests would park cars over the line making it difficult to park in adjoining bay. Hotel staff could not identify these guests as they do not record registration plates when guests check in.

I paid for my brothers to stay here for Christmas night when they were in town. They said the place was clean and comfortable. They really enjoyed their stay.

The apartment was very spacious and filled with a lot of natural light. It was also quite modern and pretty well appointed. Parking was great, very conveniently located beneath the building and safe, just a quick elevator ride to and from our apartment. The blockout blinds in the bedrooms were very much appreciated! Our only slightly negative feedback is that there were not enough bowls, drinking glasses or cutlery for a family of our size (4). In addition, the floor did not seem to be especially clean.

Good value for money

People say, “you get what you pay for” - but…..in this instance, I requested a single room, …instead I got a queen bed & 2 x single beds, so I guess I was kind of upgraded. To be clear, I would have just preferred to have had a clean room. AND.. where was the microwave? Look.. too much to say. They should be embarrassed. They’re obviously going broke OR they checked out years ago. They don’t care. They can’t be bothered. They obviously don’t pay anyone to clean the rooms. They haven’t upgraded in over 15 years. The plumbing is blocked. Even the stairs are dirty & you have to wave your hands in the air to get the lights to turn on or you’ll fall down the stairs. Whoever reviewed the rooms on here as clean must be either blind or live in a dirty shed. I actually booked the place due to quite a few saying it was clean. I considered just booking elsewhere. The only reason I stayed was thankfully the sheets were clean. After coming in late, I wiped the rest of the areas to just simply get through the stay. I requested that they didn’t service the room cos I didn’t want them coming in & wiping everything with a dirty rag. Won’t be back.
