Discovery Parks - Warrnambool

The property as a whole was very good. Everything was easy to locate etc. As there was only a budget cabin available when we booked, we did book that . We didn’t expect any luxury’s etc, but it had a very tired looking decor. The main issue I felt was the sofa, besides being very low, all you could really feel was the timber it had been constructed from. The other issue was that there was teenagers running around about 1-2 am causing lots of noise. That made me think that a place that size didn’t seem to have anyone on site , and I had a Quick Look to see in the morning if there was any cctv camera around. I am happy to be stand corrected , if I’m wrong. The place is well organised and from what I saw well run. But it just needs a few things improved on

The kids loved the play area, and the location was perfect—just a short walk to the lake and McGennan’s Beach. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we’d definitely return!

This property is in a great location and the staff were wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer.

When arriving for a 2 pm check in I was told that they didn't know when the cabin would be ready and that 3 people had called in. We had made plans which meant that we had to drop off our belonging and then go - we arrived @ 2:45. They suggested that we leave our things by the front desk - what?? That made no sense. They didn't have a back up plan They made it my problem I had to "wait" without any answer as to when I could check into my cabin They wanted me to accomodate them but refused a late check out on departure Finally, one of the staff members went and had a look at the room - we were able to check in 10 mts after that By the time we got in the room it was ok. The cabin was nicer than expected and well stocked. The pool was atrocious and the "jacuzzi" was not warm. There was a family there and they dominated the whole space. Overall the location was great, the cabin was nice but the premises was below average and the pool area wasn't nice. I wouldn't go back.

Was lovely big room. Very nice. Its lovely that they also offered Hot Chocolate with the tea and coffee. The whole park was lovely We stayed there so we could go to the Deep Blue Hot Springs. They were within walking distance. The springs were great.

Friendly staff, quiet area. Proximity to local sights.
