My friend and I had a brilliant night in Shamrock. It was so incredible to stay in a building with so much history and they have really kept so many of the original features. We particularly loved the lego Shamrock!

Two main issues, the first was that I was sold a dish in the restaurant that was clearly off. While they replaced it, the waitress admitted that the rice was 5 days old over the Christmas break. At this point, you couldn’t have served me anything I would eat, especially after the thought that I was eating 5-day old chicken risotto.
The second, we had the expensive spa suite with my partner. While using the spa and jets, all the dirt and grime came out into the bath and completely covered it, like it had never been cleaned properly. I tried emailing the hotel twice as there was no management when we left, and I have no heard a response. Even sent photos in the hope of some compensation, but nothing.
As a previous Bendigo local, I’m actually embarrassed that such an iconic location would be so disappointing.

Historic hotel, premium spa room are very good. Food and cocktails are excellent BUT hotel charged us twice for accommodation. Doubled the accommodation charge by also charging through our credit card as well.

The room itself was okay however the bath was dirty with someones hair in it and also in the fridge and on the couch. The wifi is a smidge dodgy too. Customer service was good however its rather lengthy to check in and check out, lots of socialising for people who may struggle with it. The elavator was absolutely foul smelling. I dont think I'd come back here unless i absolutely had to.

Beautiful old hotel. Just a pity that there was such a terrible smell in our room.
The room was clean and ok for the price for one night.
We didn’t get to check in until much later as the sms or call to let us know when our room was ready never came, and we were told the girl must’ve rung the wrong phone number…
We also weren’t told about the parking garage being closed on public holidays and nearly had an anxiety attack thinking we couldn’t get our car out.

Good value in the centre of town. A beautiful heritage hotel. The food and drinks are fine. Lots of restaurants and cafes around. Near the park. Parking was a problem on New Yesr’s Eve. The staff were great.
