It was very spacious and light. Great view and balcony access was lovely. Loved the high ceilings and ameities as well as the history behind the hotel (Wynyard Theatre).

The staff were very friendly and personable, so much so I stayed only one night but got a upgrade on cheque in. The room was clean and tidy. Enjoyed my stay immensely!

This is not a 5 star accommodation but the staff were fantastic the price almost too cheap. The bathroom had been newly renovated and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Refrigerator and air conditioner motors, just outside, going loudly all night, preventing sleep. Don't use Room 16 under any circumstance. Mattress and base too saggy for normal people.

The rooms had been recently painted and the fumes from the paint were overwhelming. Further to that the paint fumes on my second night set off the fire alarms in several rooms. Needless to say I was fully refunded. Stay away.

The food and service was good. Tried to turn on main light in room with the remote but wouldn't work. When it came on early hours in the morning by itself it was so full that it spread no light. Room and fittings were old and needed maintenance done to it.

The room was clean and the low price attracted us but there were excessive number electrical cords that were potential trip hazards in the room. The free wifi didn't work.
The dining experience was poor as we couldn't eat the special for the day. Chicken and veg plus a dessert. The veg was inedible and we returned it with a complaint. The dessert was okay though. To be fair the staff were very apologetic and paid us a meal back and offered us a free additional wine which we accepted.
We really enjoyed the township though as it was a very clean, tidy town between Stanley and Bernie. A lovely area.

We couldn’t use shower as it dripped badly and the taps were tight….we put a towel down to help stop the constant noise. The place is very tired and run down. Luckily we only stayed one night. Loved Wynyard though.
