The lobby looks like a Playboy's magazine issue, with photos of nude women in suggestive poses. While it may be attractive to some male customers I find it extremely offensive as a female customer. Perhaps unsurprisingly, most customers seem to be men. Rooms are ok. Location is great, in a quiet street very close to the city center.

Good hotel although the lift is very slow (they do acknowledge that) and the front desk is not always manned. Rooms were very big and it was a good breakfast. I didn’t like the privacy glass in the bathroom - you could clearly see through the gaps and so I showered with the lights off!

When we first arrived about one week ago, we were in a tough predicament with a wedding approaching and rooms for three people not being available on the days we needed them. Tina (I believe was her name) at the desk was so helpful and understanding, and she accommodated us in a way that made our stay at Hotel Elisabeth such an excellent experience! Her customer service as well as that of the hotel’s was unlike any we’ve experienced both in the States and abroad.
Mechelen being very nice and safe is also a huge plus for this hotel’s location. It’s within walking distance of the train station, cathedrals, and an amazing Greek restaurant. I highly recommend Hotel Elisabeth to all visitors!

Very nice place in a great location, but for me the best thing was the personnel working there. The two ladies managing the front desk when we were there were very nice and helpful, but specially the night manager man who helped us at 4am and booked train tickets and a taxi for the next day, you saved us and I don't think we would have cacthed our flight on time if it wasn`t for you. I would totally recommend Hotel Elisabeth for your stay in Mechelen.
