I think is the worse experience we had with hotels, but to be honest we usually choose 4* and above because we try to avoid this. However the number of stars has nothing to do with cleanliness and customer service , so please don.t use that " what do do you expect from a 3* hotel" excuse.
We got a Comfort Family Room.
First of all, i get the check-in time and the whole reason behind it, but you should have at least 2, 3 rooms ready and clean 1h prior to check-in, that you can offer exceptionally when you have people traveling from far, with a baby, etc. No room was clean and available, even though nobody checked, and we understood this, no issue. But at check in time, our cot was not available, even though it was mentioned as special request since booking was made. So no prior checking of details was done by the staff. We had to wait until 20:00 for someone to bring a travel cot, with a lousy mattress, way low for a 4m old baby, they set it up in 5min, threw a normal bed sheet over it and called it a day. So this is why we had to wait the extra 5h for.
We tried to call the hotel before to ask more about the type of cot, bed sheet provided, etc, but 1st time we were asked to call back as they are busy and 2nd time they said "it's a normal cot madam, you just put the baby in".
It was so hard for me, 1.60 m to get the baby in and out and also the mattress was making a whole in the middle , so not really up to standard of firmness for a baby cot.
Luckily we had a big muslin with us that we put over the bedsheet so baby won.t have a skin issue.
The bathroom is small and shower is a joke. The entry to the shower is on a corner and if you are not slim, you probably won.t be able to fit. Also, having a shower curtain in a hotel was the weirdest thing for me, so we took that off, did not want that disgusting thing to touch me while showering.
In the entire week we stayed we had to complain 2 days in a row for someone to actually come clean our room, even though policy says every 2 days. After we complained, they only changed the bedsheets and towels, no vacuuming, floor mopping or bathroom cleaning was done. I could still see my strands of hair on the floors and the dust on the bedside tables. Good thing we always take flip flops with us. We also had to ask for our trash bins to be emptied, as we had nappies and did not want to keep them for a week in the bathroom.
The legs of the bed are supported by flattened cans,(if hotel did not do this, imagine how well they clean, that nobody noticed) as seen in pics and the mattress topper is disgusting.Could not take the sheet off again to take a pic of the stains on it.
The elevator is so small, we could barely fit our stroller in.
The only plus is the location, walking distance of city center.
Picture where taken before checkout.
