Sauna was very nice as was the pool. Hot tub was loud when jets were on... made a high pitched noise. Breakfast area was clean and well maintained.

Our room was inconveniently located outside of the common area where it was extremely loud and disruptive. Staff tried to be accommodating but the noise level ruined our stay.

The staff were very helpful. The pool and hot tub area is clean. It has a nice lobby area with a fire place. Adequate breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Great accommodation for a reasonable price.

Ours was a 1-night stay as we were passing through. Yes, there was some renovation going on, but it didn't affect us in the least; just a few large boxes sitting around. The room, pool area (with beautiful view of Lake Superior), and breakfast were all very nice. The gentleman who greeted us was super friendly and repeatedly asked if there was anything we needed, or what he could do to help us out. The only reason for not going with 5 stars - and this is big - we were charged twice! The reservation was made and paid for on Hotels.com, and pre-check-in was done on Hotels.com. Several days after returning home, we got our credit card bill and saw the charge from the website, AND a room-charge directly from AmericInn. Fortunately, I noticed. It took multiple attempts to reach someone who could fix it, but when I did, she took care of it immediately without any hassle. I couldn't help but notice that there wasn't really any apology either.

The staff and atmosphere were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, great stay.

The place was clean, everything worked as expected and the staff were very friendly and responsive. The breakfast was better than the typical "breakfast included" with lots of choices. The pool and hot tub were seldom used. The fact that some of the property is under renovation created zero inconvenience.

Have stayed here many times over the years. Great option for staying in the north shore. Kids love the hot breakfast and the pool, and we appreciate the quiet hotel at a decent rate.

Grant location in the North shore we love this hotel. You can build a fire outside in the summertime. Walk out to the water. Lots of breakfast options. Kristen was amazing helping us out with some car trouble and everybody was just so nice.

It was clean, staff are friendly.

When we checked in the woman was very polite and inviting. When we checked out it was a different woman and all she said was, do you want a receipt. Not friendly or welcoming at all. Black mold on bathroom ceiling. Rooms are very dark. Continental breakfast was out of sausage and scrambled eggs at 7:30. Very crowded area for breakfast as well. Construction containers and trailers by back door taking up parking spots. Not staying there again.

Lots of dog poop on the grassy side of hotel. Otherwise the hotel itself was nice and clean.

Very nice property with good easily accessible location. Staff has been upbeat and helpful whenever we encountered them. Pool and hot tub both very nice. This has become our hotel to head to when in this area and need a place to stat

Hotel was nice and clean! But the heater wouldn't stay on more than 30 min so we froze. There was only about 1/8th roll of toilet paper, and the fridge was not working

I like breakfast, nice staff but my room was smell dogs.
