I had booked a 2 bed room online, but after arriving at the property was told the only available room on the ground floor ( no elevator and I wasn’t able to do stairs) was the handicapped room with a single bed. I initially accepted it but was not offered a discount and we all know you pay more for a room with 2 beds. After getting to the room, it was decided it was not acceptable so I returned to the front desk and that I would force my way up the stairs at which point I was directed to a double room with a kitchenette on the first floor at which point I was charged an additional 15.00 which I am still not sure how I feel but overall it was a question that could have been asked upon first checking in to avoid the kerfuffle. When entering the rooms, try they keep them cold, so you enter an icebox until they warm up which takes awhile because it’s an older motel with baseboard heaters. The front desk clerk did remain friendly and hospitable throughout the check in process which I commend her for as I was probably considered the customer from hell but got the feeling she didn’t have the authority to upgrade rooms and such.

The staff was super friendly and cleanliness was the best part of this older hotel. The breakfast was minimal but you could find something to eat!

For the price it is a clean and comfortable stay.

Clean rooms comfy beds

The hotel clerk is pleasant and friendly. The facility is clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast is good optional.

Our room was cleaned but not sanitized. I recomend using ozen machine to atleast eliminaye the smoke smell. Its not for a family stay. The lady when we check in, she knows that we have an infant but still recomended that smoking room and honestly its not pleasing to breath to a room like that especially to my 3 kids

The staff was outstanding, very friendly, welcoming and helpful, the continental breakfast was disappointing but the original room was being renovated so it was makeshift across the hall but only 2 choices for hot food and the hashbrowns were cold and raw in the middle bread was stale as it was sitting on top of the hot toaster and 1 cereal dispensers was broken over I had a comfortable relaxing time but needs a few small improvements lime only decaffeinated coffe and not enough sugar disappointing but was very happy with the staff

Nothing unique, great location. Quiet

Staff were helpful and accommodating when parking my semi and trailer. Front desk staff was the friendliest most welcoming people ive seen in over 40 hotel stays yet this year.

Decent, clean, fairly priced

Great value for money. Check in front desk staff was courteous and efficient. Hotel cleanliness was above par given a recent rain event with a lot of muddy boots and vehicles.

FSJ is a town where people work, this doesn’t mean you have to have “workers” only mentality when your thinking of staying here, friendly staff allows you to relax.
