We visited this hotel during the Christmas season which is a busy period and the hotel was fully booked. The location of the hotel is convenient however parking is limited. The staff is courteous and having excellent knowledge of Bath. They guided us very well. Being heritage hotel, the Breakfast was limited and there is no room service. However, there is a Bar within the hotel. There are plenty of dining options available nearby and the hotel staff is always ready to guide. All the buildings in Bath are old, listed under heritage category. Room heating is a bit problem. We enjoyed our stay, will not mind visiting again.

This is a very great location if you want a place that is central and walking distance to Podium car park, Roman Baths, great food places and many other attractions in Bath. The room was great too and the service. I had a misconception about the breakfast ; it is not a buffet! So, know this before making the choice to ad-on breakfast 😅 Not a lot of options though There are parking spaces on the street running from 8am till 7pm outside which it becomes free overnight (did that on the first night before moving the car to Podium)

We came at a busy time of the year and the hotel was almost fully booked. We have been offered to either stay in rooms without a window or on a higher floor but elevator would not take us all the way up. We have chosen the high floor and carried our suitcases through a very narrow staircase. Rooms were generally okay but the carpet in my room was wet near the bathroom. What we liked was the impressive building and the central location.

My husband and I have just spent the weekend in Bath and stayed at Henrietta House. We had the most wonderful time. What a stunning place. The hotel is lovely, clean and our room decor was stylish and modern and a very comfortable bed too. The food was gorgeous but best of all were the staff, they were always very happy to help in any situation, very professional and kind. They made us feel very relaxed and made our weekend special. They even put a yummy cupcake with a happy birthday topper in our room for when we arrived as I had mentioned it was my husbands birthday. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

A strange but decent enough experience. We came for a one night stay shortly into the New Year and had booked via booking.com We arrived a few hours earlier than the 3pm check in time and decided to see if our room was possibly ready early. It wasn't ready so we left our luggage and were told to come back for 3pm which was fine. We came back at 3 and were told the room was still not ready, which was odd and not something I've really experienced before, especially when the staff know we have left luggage and had told us to come back at 3.. We were told to take a seat in the bar area and wait, which we did presuming it would be a few minutes. We waited around ten minutes then checked again at reception to be told the room was still not ready, we were then offered a complimentary drink which was appreciated. In my view this should have been offered when we first were told the room was not ready but it was eventually offered. By about 15:30 the room was ready, we paid the £10 for our room upgrade which we had selected online prior to our stay. We headed to our room which was significantly larger than we were expecting, so a pleasant surprise. The room was lovely and had plenty of space but did need some touching up in certain places. The location of the hotel is also superb and is certainly the main reason we picked the hotel and it is literally a few minutes walk into the city centre. We were woken up quite a lot throughout the night by other guests as our room was right next to the main front doors, which was annoying but hard to blame the hotel for this. The walls must have been fairly thin though. When checking out we were asked by reception how our stay was and what we would rate them out of ten. I found this odd to begin with as you are normally asked how the stay was and asked to leave an online review, rather than being put on the spot for a rating out of ten there and then. We gave them a 7 (bearing in mind we weren't expecting to awkwardly be asked on the spot) and let them know (different staff member to when we checked in) that our room hadn't been ready on time. We were given an apology and told the delay didn't meet their standards and told we would be emailed a voucher for a free upgrade and breakfast in the future, which was appreciated. We were then asked to up our rating to a 9 out of ten and to leave that as our online review. I haven't had this elsewhere so did find it a bit odd and it did have a feeling of being bribed into a higher review, although we were emailed the voucher straightaway rather than having to leave the review first. Overall, excellent location, poor timekeeping and a slightly questionable request for a review. If you need a hotel at a fair price in a great location in Bath I would recommend but just bear in mind the above!
