Little Haven Hotel On The Beach

Easy onsite parking close to town and n Beach

The Hotel is situated at the mouth of the River Tyne, which gives endless views of sea, sand and passing ships while the pathways round and near the Hotel give plenty of interesting walks to visit local parks and surroundings area.

The hotel is in a great situation, staff friendly. Breakfast OK.

Showers are perfect. Breakfast choice is very good and quick. Suggest provision of bath mats in all rooms and grab rails. Location cannot be improved. This should be 4 star hotel.

Great location and lush food

Lovely beach side hotel with friendly service and immaculate rooms.

Meals at night were limited because only one chef, our friends had to go out to eat,but it was December 21st

No fridge in room, no drinking water, only tap water. Over priced for what you get. Surrounding area is beautiful.

Sort stay to visit family, so didn't really use the faclilties beyond sleeping and washing. We had our 2 dogs and that worked well with everything we needed at a great location. Breakfast was good..

Staff were lovely and very helpful, Had to change rooms because of faulty toilet, glad to because the toilet floor was covered in hair.., Had to return food to the restaurant because it came out cold, I have stayed at the little haven for many years and never had this problem before, Lovely hotel and lovely location. Shame

Room had a smell but not terrible, “king” bed was small, “quiet room” was right above loud function room. Room clean but dated. Luckily I had good noise cancelling headphones. Good breakfast, excellent, friendly staff.

Just a glorified guest house. Most of the hotel had been shut down for the winter season but because of the liverpool v newcastle game, they reopened ...rooms smelt fusty and damp and were freezing cold. Had to ask staff for help getting it warm...still wasnt warm the next morning. Very poor selection of hot food and without transport nothing else really nearby to try.

First time stay and was slightly disappointed to be honest. The staff were friendly but it felt like dining was in the reception area and the menu was a little sad. I decided to get a takeaway from Ocean Road which was lovely. The room was tired and cold, no bottle of water, no hairdryer. Breakfast was also disappointing and the coffee was literally undrinkable. The location is good and this hotel could be lovely but it’s dated and I’m sorry to say I won’t be staying again.

Friendly, attentive efficient staff at all levels. Spacious comfortable room with great river/sea view. Food good. First time at this hotel and definite stay here next time stopping over in the area

In many ways our stay was fine. The location is good with sweeping harbour and sea views. Staff were helpful, the room was clean, though slightly tired given the age of the hotel (I remember it being built years ago). On this basis we would go back. However we would not go back because of the noisy functions and where they are held. Our room was upstairs on a bedroom wing. On the Friday night we discovered - heard - a disco starting up around 18:30 right at the end of the bedrooms corridor! It was loud, noisy, lots of people shouting up and down the corridor, coming and going. The hotel will say they warn people it might be a bit noisy. From their email I guessed this would be in the lobby and restaurant. Not a problem. They don’t tell you it’s where the bedrooms are. We asked about this and the party a few doors down from us was supposed to end about 23:30. After 2 hours of loud music and noise, by 21:00 we had had enough and just left the place - checked out and drove home instead. To the hotel: be honest about the noise, don’t offer to change rooms when we are leaving, rather than when raising it earlier. We will jot be back. If you want to be at a disco this is the place, otherwise avoid it, especially at a weekend

Tremendously idyllic situated hotel the food is beautifully presented with an added taste factor mixed everywhere on the coastal areas should ha little haven hotel.
