On arrival we asked for the location of the room and the receptionist immediately offered us a ground floor room as we struggle with too many stairs.

Stay over night when we went to Tallends for a couple of days training, we used the spa the evening we arrived and had a lovely breakfast before we let’s.

Stayed here for just the one night but would have been happy to stay more. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed this before the under 5 minute drive into Cirencester where there is a nice village style high street with an array of eateries plus shops.
Room was comfortable and quite spacious, shower room had a double walk in shower, heating was very toastie and we woke up too hot; could have and should have turned the radiators down but was nice when we first came in from the cold. Nice in room toiletries and tea/coffee facilities.
Would recommend for a stay and we’ll be back if over that way again to try the spa

Noisy apartment above on 3rd floor.
Avoid room 11 as the fire exit goes through the bathroom.
Alarm went off at 12.30am & we were expecting people to come charging through room.
Green exit light about bed kept us awake and we had to go out and buy eye masks.
Maybe we were unlucky with that room

We were put in room number 7. Don’t go there unless you’re deaf because you won’t sleep. There’s a big fan going on all night. I mentioned this to reception after a sleepless night, and my comment seemed to get the person on duty back up and becoming very short in his response. After playing him the recording of the fan noise, he was surprised, yet none apologetic.
The bathroom skylight was full of black mould. No ventilation and couldn’t open a window as the noise was terrible.
Also, the food is horrible and not worth the price.
Staff not knowing much about the food or the drinks - however, the waiters and cleaning people were very lovely and very kind.

Clean hotel with spacious rooms. Room was cold when we first entered and it took a while for the room to warm up. Key to the main house didn't work so we had to call the porter to let us on which wasn't convenient. Mattress was on the harder side and smaller than expected. Didn't try the breakfast but they do a great cup of coffee!

The hotel was busy with events but the service was good throughout our stay. The food was really delicious and thoughtful. We both enjoyed our massage at the Spa and found the whole stay very relaxing.

The staff were excellent. The room was not the best we have ever stayed in. The bed was very uncomfortable, probably the worst we have ever had in a hotel; the shower was pathetic with very low pressure, the bath was slippery underfoot with no handrails and the bathroom door did not close as , I presume, it was swollen.
The dinner menu was quite limited for anyone who likes simple fare.
